Wake up! How was your weekend?
We didn't have any plans but got to catch up with two different couples at the last minute, which was nice. Went back to the all-you-can-eat sushi place on Friday night and spent three hours there with our friends. I foresee becoming a regular at this joint, which probably isn't great for my wallet even though it's "cheap" for sushi.
Saturday I pretty much shopped online all day long. Then we had dinner with another couple at their place, ordering in some Blue Ribbon BBQ.
Yesterday DH and I ran all over Natick doing more shopping/errands. I'm proud to report that I'm now 90% done with Christmas shopping!
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: Where is everybody?
We had a really busy weekend. Friday afternoon, we had our department holiday party out in Harvard Square, where I had too many adult beverages. Then went home and made quesadillas and margaritas. Oops.
Saturday, we got a Zipcar in the afternoon, so we ran errands. Bought a new rug for the bedroom, hit up Target and the grocery store, and bought our Christmas tree. And we finally tried Five Guys after hearing about it for months. It wasn't all that, I thought, though we're not big on fast food places. Like a step up from Wendy's, although the fries were really good, I'll give them that. But really, I can't be bothered with a burger place that can't be bothered with milkshakes. Plus, we were the only people in there without kids, which we probably should have taken as a sign when we walked in the door, heh.
Yesterday, we (ok, I) spent most of the day rearranging/cleaning/etc. The dog was all confused, because we had to take apart the bedroom and then the spare room to put the rugs in, and then my husband blocked him out of the kitchen so he could put together a bathroom cabinet. Jack was not amused. He kept running from gate to gate to see what was going on. But we were super productive all weekend for once, though I could really use an extra day off now to recover from my days off.
I have been drowning in work this morning. I finally have my inbox UTD so I can take a breather.
Weekend was good, Friday night we went to DH's company holiday party. It was fun. Saturday it was pouring, we went out to lunch then decided to just buy our tree. We watched The Help after DS went to bed.
Sunday- I took DS to a birthday party and the aquarium. We planned to decorate the tree last night, then I sliced a chunk of my thumb off while cutting up an onion for dinner. So I am useless now and it is still throbbing. Not sure if the bleeding has stopped or not, I'll find out when DH is home at lunch to help me change the bandage. I may run to Urgent Care this afternoon, depending on how it looks.
Punky, I hope your thumb heals up!
We found another house that we're super interested in (and it was the one we were expecting to love). We have our second showing with my father and his work partner on Wednesday and if they don't find anything (which I don't think they will since my father has already seen it) then we'll make an offer on Thursday. Fingers crossed!
I went to the gym this morning and DS had a total freak out in child watch, and he did the same thing on Saturday. Ugh. It makes it really hard to feel motivated to go to the gym when I have to worry that DS is going to sob hysterically when we do.
Sorry, was dealing with morning sickness this morning. Spent time with my head in my hands because the light was bothering me, then time in the bathroom throwing up.
We were visiting DH's friends OOS this weekend and had our annual holiday dinner with them.
I've been working. These next two weeks are going to be rough.
LadyE, good luck with the house! MrsC, sorry about the morning sickness. Sounds miserable.
My weekend was good, and relaxing. Spent some time visiting family and friends, and otherwise got some Christmas cookies baked and my living room cleaned up and festive looking. I'd say it was a success.
GL Lady E!
Calm tummy vibes Mrs C
Friday my parents and I took DD to the Boston Children's Museum, then had a late lunch at flour. Pizza night out for dinner.
Saturday we dropped my parents off at the airport, then I got my hair cut. Love my stylist, hated the lady at the front desk.
Sunday we caught up on stuff around the house. I'm knitting an Advent scarf (we get a new pattern sent every day from 12/1-12/24) so i got somewhat caught up on that.
I finally feel like my too-hectic November is mellowing out, now that it's mid-December!
Our little Irish rose came to us on March 5, 2010
Don't drink the water.

Punky, ouch! Hope your thumb heals up quickly.
LadyE, good luck with the house! Sounds really promising. Email me the listing if you don't mind sharing; I'd love to take a look!
MrsC, ugh, hopefully your morning sickness won't last too long.
Punky, I hope you're ok!
MrsC., boo to morning sickness! I hope it goes away for you soon.
Good luck with the re-visit, LadyE!
Finally beginning to feel settled. Just can't nest during the day, which is an adjustment.
Friday- DH and I went to Happy Hour here in Worcester at the Sole Proprietor then went to Boston for the night. Saw a concert at the House of Blues, which was a nice venue and got to see Fenway for the first time. We had a drink at a bar in the park in the outfield from what I could tell. I got to drive for the first time in Boston and did not have a nervous breakdown, which is a plus.
Saturday- DH went to Philly for the weekend to see his best friend Doug who just had spinal fusion (at 30!), so I was a single woman for the weekend. Too bad I was super boring. Went to Providence to the Providence Place mall which was nice and did some Christmas shopping. Then stopped at Target and got our lame fake tree (all we could have in the apartment). I got a tiny one because hopefully next year we will be able to get a real one again. On a side note, I got a great deal on as coat DH really wanted at Marshalls and was super pumped. Saturday night, ate bad Chinese, got sick, and watched Felicity on Netflix with the dog. Jealous?
Sunday- more Christmas shopping, food shopping, and then wrapped presents. Took the dog for a nice walk as well.
It was a low key weekend (minus Friday night), but I am almost done my shopping and got myself a new fleece. I feel like a real New Englander now.
