Product rave for troubled pregnancy skin
Just wanted to share that I've finally had excellent results and success from a product to control my crazy hormonal pregnancy skin-- The Body Shop's Tea Tree line. I'm using the wash, toner, and moisturizer. I also bought the mask but haven't even needed to use it yet. I saw better skin literally the next day and I'm almost clear on day 3. As far as I know, it doesn't contain any of the stuff docs ask us to avoid. I hope this helps someone!

My favorite thing about this stuff is the toner contains lemon and some other ingredients that really reduce redness. The areas surrounding my breakouts are barely noticeable a few hours after applying the toner. I had a 50% off coupon and ended up getting all 4 products for under $25, so it was a steal!
I oil cleanse too. So, I'll share what I do. I use grapeseed oil as my carrier oil (main oil) and add a few drops of lavender and a few drops of tea tree oil. I pre-mix everything in a squeeze bottle. I wash using about one teaspoon of the mix. I massage all over my face for about one minute then wash it off with a warm washcloth. It's like heaven! Plus, it's cheap! No need to prewash your face either. The oil cleansing method removes all make-up.

Of course!
I use a 50/50 combo of castor oil and olive oil, then add maybe 5-10% tea tree (if you use too much you know, it kind of burns too much). So at night I just get the water in the sink really hot and wet my face (probably not necessary to wet the face but I guess it's just habit), then I take about a teaspoon amount of oil and really massage all over, almost like a facial. I rub it really good on my eyelids and lashes too in order to get all the eye makeup off. Then I take a wash cloth and get it wet with the hot water, wring it out and hold it steaming on my face for 30 seconds or so, and rub all the dirt, oil and makeup off with it. I do that twice in a row. Then I take a little more of my castor/EVOO mixture and also a little jojoba oil and repeat the entire process again, only leaving a little more oil on my face for moisturizing effects. That's it! In the mornging I exfoliate with my clarisonic and a little bit of olive oil soap (Kiss My Face) and then I rub plain jojoba oil all over when I get out of the shower, it works really well as a moisurizer and base/primer for my makeup, which is BareMinerals.
I've had really problem skin as an adult, since about age 21/22. I've spend so much on the most expensive skin care lines, clarisonic, different makeup etc with no results at all. This has been an absolute miracle for my skin. I literally have no blemishes, it's cheap and doubles as makeup remover and moisturizer, plus it's all natural and safe so you can't beat that!
It took me about a year to finally just do it, for the same reasons you describe. I mean I would freak out if anything oily came near my face. It's been so freeing, really, to let go of some of those "misconceptions" about oils and acne.
