Kidney infection/pain question
If you've ever had a kidney infection, did your back just start hurting randomly? I swear my mid-lower back just feels sore and tender and bruised, but I haven't done anything to it. Is this ever like the only symptom? What else should I look for? I've never had one before, so I'm curious as to if that's whats going on.
Thanks, ladies!
Re: Kidney infection/pain question
Does it hurt/burn to pee? Do you have to pee more than usual, with little to nothing coming out? Is there blood in your urine?
Those were symptoms I had a of a kidney infection.
I've had a couple of kidney infections. I never had any symptoms of a UTI. At first it was just a dull ache in my lower back - like, man, what could I have pulled back there? Weird. It was obviously worse right where my kidneys are but the first time I didn't connect the dots. Within 2 days of first realizing the ache I was in horrific pain - like holy f-ing $#%^# someone is stabbing me! It was equally as painful for me as pit induced contractions without pain medication. I was doubled over in pain. Still no symptoms of a UTI. Now I can recognize if I get one because of where the pain is located in my back.
ETA: If you seriously suspect a kidney infections I'd see a doc ASAP. The first time I didn't know what was going on so I waited and within a day and a half I was in the doubled over in pain stage and had to stay at the hospital for a couple of days on IV antibiotics.
Mama's Gonna Buy You A Mockingbird
this - the one i've had included the worst back pains ever, but no burning when i had to pee or anything. and ditto about calling - i waited and ended up getting 2 shots in each kidney. miserable.
