Big Party Sub Part Two (questions)
I too was thinking of going with Wal-mart for some party subs for this Wednesday night. Any advice wquld be appreciated!
Questions:
1. How much buffer time do I have before serving? The party is in a small town past Lincoln @ 5:30 p.m., and I think I'd need to pick them up by 1:30 in Omaha.... thoughts?
2. Do I remember right that they don't come pre-cut? Easy to do with a serrated bread knife?
3. Any thoughts on how many to order? I expect probably 40 adults, and the subs will be the main dish of a light buffet (classy, I know).
Thanks in advance for any advice,
Sara
Re: Big Party Sub Part Two (questions)
1. Picking up at 1:30 and serving later is fine. They don't put the condiments on it, so it's just the meat and cheese. Nothing should get soggy.
2. They are not pre cut, but a bread knife would easily do the job.
3. When we ordered a 6 ft sub, we really ended up with 6 15" subs. We bought this with the intent of serving 25 people, and we were left with at least 2 of the subs, maybe 3. We could have gotten away with the 3 ft sub easily. But, for $25, I wasn't complaining about having leftovers.
