Busy busy weekend!
How is everyone today? We didn't get home from Tim and Shannon's until 9pm last night, but it was a fun weekend. We went and cut down a Christmas tree on Saturday then went over to Tim's sister's place to watch the UFC fight with a bunch of friends. After we got back everyone kept drinking so I ended up going to bed around 1:30. Derek didn't go to sleep until 6:30!! Yesterday was spent hanging out with the girls and watching the cartoon Grinch over and over and over. Lots of fun.
Tonight we're off to Ikea for meatballs and a Christmas tree! Woo!

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

Re: Happy Monday!
I am hurting this morning. I was supposed to fly back on a day flight yesterday, so that we could get a good nights sleep in our own bed before work this morning. So I arrive at the airport at 7am yesterday for my 9am flight, to be told it was delayed until 11am. Come 11, they delay it again until 9pm that night??! Which means I would have arrived in London at 9am - not quite friendly for my 9am meeting. So I end up getting re-routed through Boston and arrived in London at just before 5am this morning. Making it home just in time to dump my bags, shower and get into work in time for my meeting. Given the 1 hour of dozing I managed to get on the flight, I'm not doing so well right now. Hoping to get out of here in an hour.
Oh yeah, my luggage also didn't make it, so fingers crossed that it was delivered to my apartment this afternoon.
Otherwise, I had a great week/weekend in NYC!

Good morning! I am seriously counting down the days until our Christmas break. Only ten more days of work; I can make it. I feel weirdly disconnected from the whole thing. I feel like there are a ton of things that I still want to do, but when it comes to actually doing them, I'm kind of meh.
I did make a batch of caramels last night and the came out awesome! I have a huge Tupperwear full of candy now. I think I'll make the buckeyes tonight, if I can find some motivation. I also have a few more Christmas cards to get out and some gifts that need to be wrapped and shipped.

rebaann - I have some Christmas baking to do this week as well. I've been debating on whether or not to add caramels to the list. I'm hoping your post will motivate me to go ahead and do it.
I had a busy weekend. Friday I made an ornament wreath that I found on pinterest. It turned out really cute. Saturday my mom came up. We went to Sephora and she got her makeup done. She was wanting new makeup for Christmas so this gives me a starting point. We did some Christmas shopping while we were at the mall and then I took her out for lunch/dinner so that she could show off her fresh new face.
Yesterday I started the day with brunch and a movie with some girlfriends. We saw New Year's Eve and it was pretty cute. Then we went over to a friend's house to watch the Bears and Broncos play. I was the only Broncos fan in a room full of Bears fans. By the time I got home it was too late to get much housework done so I did a few loads of laundry and went to bed.
Tonight I'm ordering my bridesmaid dress for my brother's wedding. Then I'll head home and start on my baking. It should be a fun week as I think I have 3 Christmas parties, but really I'm just looking forward to Christmas break. I can't wait for several days off of work.
Good morning! I'm back at work today - and ugh, the piles of marking are just awful. I want to cry. I had a rough night last night... woke up every hour or so feeling sick. I think I only got 5 or so hours of sleep by the end of it.
I have a leadership meeting at the end of the day today, otherwise I'd totally escape early. When I go home, I'm going to stop off for some Christmas shopping along the way.

Morning ladies.
This weekend, I finished the boys Christmas shopping and got one gift for DH. I still have to at least get gifts for DH's side of the family before this weekend, since we celebrate with them this coming Sunday.
Zach was up 1/2 the night lastnight so I'm pretty tired today. Tonight I will attempt to put the lights on the tree if the boys still have it standing when I get home from work. Christian was excited to see the tree, and Zach was curious. It's funny to see their reactions now, they are growing up way to fast.
Have a great day ladies.
Good morning! My weekend was good, but went by way to fast. Friday Jason and I went to Toys R Us and finished shopping for my nephews and the little girl we adopted for Christmas. After shopping we went to Village Inn for some Brinner, yum!
Saturday I did some more shopping and got some stuff done around the house. Sunday I had a cookie exchange with Jason's family, it was really fun and I got a ton of delicious cookies! After the cookie party I met up with Jason and some of our friends for some wings and the Broncos game.
I'm counting down until Christmas vacation too, I'll be off from the 17th to the 27th, which is the longest break I've had from work since our wedding/honeymoon.
Good Morning,
Aside from our big adoption thing today, I have to do some things for work. I have an IEP and an observation tomorrow when I get back so I need to do some work for both of those things. I also have a new reading program I'm starting tomorrow. ( I didn't think all of this through very well
)
This weekend was pretty tame, just organizing things for Christmas and what not. I did get some time with one of my friends I hadn't had a chance to see in months so that was nice.
I'm so mad our school goes until December 23rd.
Good morning!
We had a hectic but good weekend. Last night's performance of Messiah was OK, not our best, but it was nice to be singing nevertheless. I'm hoping to rejoin our choir around February
This will be a busy week with grandma visit on Wednesday, meet up with my friend and then my dad's birthday on Thursday, and play date on Friday... so today I'll be staying home, other than going to check on V's cousin's cat (they're on vacation).

Good morning,
I'm hopefully going to be finding the motivation to do some baking today as well. I'm doing butter tarts today then later in the week I still want to do haystacks, snowballs, thumbprints, and I have some apples that need to be used up so I guess pie it is.
One of Russ' co-workers is coming by to pick up our old baby stuff so I have to sort through that today too and get it all ready to go for Wednesday. Thank goodness! I've been trying to get rid of it forever now. Then just some laundry and bedroom cleaning.
Good morning ladies. We had a really nice weekend. We took Olivia to take pictures with Santa on Saturday and it started off okay, but then he started ringing a bell and for some reason she started crying. We have pictures but they didn't come out as well as I had hoped though they are still adorable. Yesterday was football day and we had a barbecue with one of DH's friends. After that we went to visit the IL's for a bit.
I'm at work today and trying to figure out what I should do after. I have to go grocery shopping for the week but it's raining and I'd hate to take Liv out in this weather. If it clears up we'll go shopping, and if not I may go to the mall anyway to get a few gifts. Hope everyone has a great day!
Afternoon! Busy weekend over here, too, but very nice. I did PR on the 8K course by 35 seconds), so that made me happy. I found out today that I'm in for the 2012 Cherry Blossom 10 Miler, so that's two running goals set for next year.
Today was a flex day, so I had lunch with a few former coworkers. It was so much fun--I confess I'm feeling nostalgic for them because I still feel kind of awkward around my new coworkers. The rest of the day I'm going to try to write that review I've been talking about lately--big case of writer's block right there.
I'm letting Jackson do whatever he wants to make him happy right now. He's been sick since Friday, and we've been in exhausted hell. Right now he's watching foodnetwork and playing on his play mat. He's quiet, and I just don't care. I got in a few little naps today while he napped. The doc thing he has croup (sp?) and just a virus that will run its course. I'm guessing the cold DH and I just got over. Hopefully his is quicker. I think we're going to try Vicks tonight on his feet and keep dosing with the Tylenol. Have you ever heard a baby lose its voice? Kinda funny for about 2 minutes, and then it's the most annoying noise in the world.
Off to straighten him back out now that he's spun in circles and tangled up his mat. That kid will do anything to watch TV.
Hopefully our daycare doesn't kill us tomorrow, but I have to go back to work.
This weekend was really busy and Monday came too soon. I have 4 7:30am shifts in a row this week and it's just so hard to get up in the morning.
Work was extremely hectic, especially since we had a sick call. I'm working the medicine floors this week and we used to have 2 pharmacists to do it and now we just have 1. This usually means I end up accumulating overtime.
I did manage to get to the gym after work and we just finished dinner and are going to head out to our friends for our Monday night tv watching.
