Theres a glimmer of hope
DH has been so against moving to Florida because he wanted to buy the business he works for. All along, I've been telling him he can do the same thing in FL. He's in the swimming pool business... Um, hello?? Plus, the houses are so much cheaper.
If we sold our house right now, we could pay cash for a similar quality house in FL, plus have plenty left over for a down payment to start his business. But, H doesn't like change. He's been working for this company since hs!
Lately, the situation has presented itself that he could buy the business. I didn't like the terms. It seemed shady to me. Plus, he was buying it for a lot of $$$. I personally don't think the company is worth that much, especially since the current owner dumps his own money in every winter to pay the bills.
I gave DH my opinion & told him the decision is ultimately his. If its something he really wants to do, then we'll do it. But I think its very risky.
Today DH said he thinks we should move to FL. I'm not getting my hopes up, but oooh I'd be so happy to get out of here. Fingers crossed.

I think its finally starting to make sense to DH. I wish I could figure out a way to get him totally onboard. It seems like it has to be his idea. Otherwise, he takes a LONG time to come around. He's like that with everything.

If you do end up moving to Sarasota, you and your H so have to get together with us and watch a game. We don't have any Patriots friends. Or really Red Sox either.
Although, I'm thinking about becoming a Cubs fans with Theo switching teams. Sort of kidding...
