Appropriate or over the top?
H and I are going to our niece's school Christmas show thingy tonight.
I was thinking about getting flowers to give to her after the show. She is 10.
She is extra special to us; she was the flower girl in our wedding and then was diagnosed with leukemia about 6 months later (in remission now), and her dad was my BIL that died in the fire in May. She's had a rough life in those short 10 years.
So would flowers be appropriate or over the top?

I did get her some.

She did great! I didn't realize she had a "lead" role, she played Mrs Claus. So cute!
