Store rave: The Golden Goose (Occoquan)
So I know this is a little far for most of you, but you PWC/Lorton/Springfield ladies should really check it out! The ladies from my office just went there today, and it is the cutest Christmas paraphernalia store you could imagine. I could easily drop a couple hundred dollars in there on all the ornaments, Christmas trees, figurines, etc. They also had some fall decor which I didn't spend a lot of time looking at, but it looked really cute as well. Definitely recommend it! And it's in Old Town Occoquan, which is just adorable and has lots of cute shops to check out.
Re: Store rave: The Golden Goose (Occoquan)
I love that place. Not sure if they still do it, but they used to bring in the great, great grandson of Charles Dickens to preform A Christmas Carol - http://lakeridge.patch.com/articles/dickens-performs-a-christmas-carol-in-occoquan
Occoquan is probably 10-15 blocks. Most of the stores are on the main street, maybe 6 blocks worth. There are little stores in the nooks and crannys of the little alleyways.
Every time I go it seems I find a new place.
They also have a craft fair in the spring and fall.
