What are you getting for your dad?
I have the hardest time shopping for the men in my life (other than DH). I feel like I get my dad the sameoldshit every single year. DH's brother is impossible, too. Women are just so much easier for me to shop for.
So, what are you getting for your dad?
I agree with everything that muddled said. You should listen to her. -ESDReturns
Re: What are you getting for your dad?
My mom, sister and I went in together to get him a DeWalt Heavy Duty Miter Saw Stand.
I have to admit I'm probably more excited about it than he is. For the past few years he's claimed his knees are too bad to use the saw when it's on the floor, so guess which kid gets to help? *raises hand*

Laptop case/wireless mouse. I need to get him something else too, but I'm stumped. Maybe more beer-making supplies. I gave him a home brewing kit a number of years ago and he's loved it ever since. My mom's been trying to trump it - this year she's pulling out the big guns with a Keurig.
My brother is impossible. He only wants movies, music, and video games, but they aren't exactly ones you can find at the local electronics store because they haven't been popular in, oh, at least 10 years. I try very hard to buy from local businesses, but he may finally crack me this year.
My parents (dad and stepmom) are notoriously hard to shop for. The most excited my dad ever got for a gift was one Father's Day when we bought him a bag of weed and a bowl.
We're klassy people.

My dad always asks for socks. It's become kind of a family joke. On Thanksgiving, my dog, who has never quite grasped potty training no matter what we've tried, pooped on the floor and my dad discovered the poop by stepping in it.
So I will be buying him socks to replace the ones Sprout destroyed. I'm also getting my parents something for the camp they just bought, though - a sign or something camp-y.
I always thought this was an awesome gift for the handy person in your life:

I gave this to my dad a few years ago and he thought it was like the coolest thing ever.
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
My siblings and I all got together and got my parents a new sofa for christmas (the one they had was older than me!). I am also gettinig them new grandparent mugs.
Usually I get my dad the new Star Trek ship ornament from Hallmark. He has been collecting them for years
This bums me out when families do this. Since when is Christmas only for kids. They get enough shyt all year long.

That website has some cool things in it. Thanks for sharing.
So far, I got him a hardcover coffee table book about tall ships and a knife that looks like a saw.
I'll probably get one more small something. IDK what yet.
OMG! My dad is too! I never would have thought of this.
What do you look for in a weather station?
Some really good nuts and trail mix from the farmer's market in town.
I'm broke and have to lug a suitcase home, so small portable things = win. Plus, he friggin' loves nuts.
Yep.
