Christmas card wording help

Hey girls! Needing some creative advice! I was thinking about doing our Christmas card with pictures of us working on the new house. I mean, it's a big deal, it's our first home. Anyway, we took some pictures and they turned out eh, but we really don't have the time/energy/mental fortitude to do them over and people are kind of used to off the wall/creative Christmas cards from us.

So here are our pictures, help me come up with some wording for them...pleeeease? I realize they aren't the best pictures, but I'm kind of out of time and they just need to get done.

I like the top 10 things that happened in 2011 card on Shutterfly, which would sort of explain our crappy attire, otherwise I need some wording to explain why we're in painting clothes/all dirty. Any suggestions would be appreciated, and if this idea sucks way too much, just tell me and I'll use an old picture of Lily for the card. :/
