We are leaving here for good in 10 days. I never thought I would feel like this back when H and I were deciding whether or not to come here. It was the hardest decision to make a year and a half ago and I never thought I'd love it so much. I cried last night.

I have a lot I want to do before we leave. Mostly just to go to all of our favorite restaurants. I'm ready to go home, but also really not. Woe is me.
Re: The sadness has hit me
Where are you moving to? Do you have the chance to move abroad again in the future?
I'm sorry ((hugs)) hang in there. I can imagine I will feel the exact same way when we decide to go home, even though I will want to go home - a part of you is sad to leave. It makes perfect sense!
Hmm...my advice is to go visit all your favorite places before you go (if you can squeeze them all in! Also, make a list of all the stuff you WON'T miss, or what you look most forward to going home. That might help
We're headed to the Maldives on Christmas Eve!
We're going to TX first for Christmas and will be there for a while. H has to come back here for like 2 weeks and then we go back to our home in AR.
ETA: It might be an option for H again someday, but I'm not sure if we'll move the whole family again. It just depends on how old W is when/if that chance comes up.
Thanks, Bells. Great advice.
My H is kind of stuck at home for the week since he just had surgery on Friday, but MIL and I are headed into town today to do some stuff. I definitely will have to make it to all of our favorite spots even if we have to squeeze it into 2 days.
P.S. A good song to listen to when you feel like crying is "Up in Flames" by Coldplay.
I'm sorry you're sad. Just remember - Target, mexican food & root beer are on the other side (yes, that's my personal list!) I am so all over the place in what I want to do next so I am sure I'll be conflicted once we decide what to do. Just make sure to enjoy your last 10 days!

It will be great. Plus, you will be busy with Christmas and things to keep your mind occupied.
Good Luck on the next chapter.
I know that feeling hon. I was so sad before we left Israel and I promise you'll settle in to your life in the States much more quickly than you thought. It does take an adjustment. Keeping you in my t&ps and sending you lots of good vibes these last weeks abroad.
Enjoy it, live it up and no regrets!
