PSA: Banana Oatmeal Smoothie

LINK

I'm usually a smoothie girl, but I normally don't eat breakfast.  This smoothie is awesome~ And it's SUPER filling.  The calorie count is a bit steep for me {a little over 1/3 my caloric intake for the entire day in one drink} but it's seriously so good and imagine I won't be hungry until later today.

Just thought I'd share.

Do any of you drink smoothies?

Re: PSA: Banana Oatmeal Smoothie

  • that looks good. I do have smoothies but mostly during the warmer months. I can not get behind a smoothie during the winter. It makes me colder. Although 2 bananas seems like a lot. Maybe I would have one banana and add some vanilla protein powder.

I like where your head's at.  The two bananas was a bit much, but not too bad though.  I'm still not hungry.

  • Well, that recipe yields 2 servings, so maybe that's why 2 bananas.

I would just cut the recipe in half, because have the entire smoothie as written (at 760 calories) is way too much for one drink, like Brit said. But if it keeps you full...maybe it's worth it :)

  • It looks good, you could always make it smaller if you wanted to if you are concerned about the calories, but that means you aren't eating all that many calories if that is 1/3!

ETA: I thought you meant 1 serving was 1/3 of your Total, 2 makes more sense

ah, ok that makes sense. Still even one banana would work. Also through some fresh spinach there for extra boost. It will turn green but it will not affect the taste. Trust me on this.
