How many Jacob/Jakes do you know?
We are having a hell of a time naming this kid. I'm at a point where I don't really care, I just want something normal! DH suggested Jacob this weekend. I really like it but I know it's #1 on all the lists. UGH! I don't know any Jacobs under the age of 16 so I wasn't overly concerned initially BUT I then I realized.....I don't know a lot of little kids!
So, how many do you know (preferably under the age of 5)?
* DS1...allergic to dairy, peanuts, eggs and turkey *

Re: How many Jacob/Jakes do you know?
under the age of 5.. I can think of two off the top of my head.
But who cares! Jake is cute.
none under the age of five.
I love this name.
3.
I think it is a great name. However, I am not one to steer away from a name I love, even if it is trendy.
I didn't realize how popular Addison was at the time, but I would have still named her Addison regardless. I love it. Ironically, she goes to dance and preschool, and she is the only Addison in her class.
thanks to jennied
None.
My next kid's name, if it's a boy, is going to be Ayden. I don't give a shiiiit if it was the #1 name last year... I love it!
Ok, good! I was looking at the NE list and there were 130 or so born in NE last year. Really, 130 isn't that many kids statewide if you think about it. Hell, Evan was #15 last year and the only 2 Evans I know are 33 and 6.
love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
Four between preschool and kids Mara's age. And the nephew--you know...the one with the kid with his stepsister?
BUT, love the name. You can't go wrong with Jacob. Unless he is the offspring of my brother
I hope I am misreading this.
You aren't

I had 4 in one class a few years ago... (but they are now in high school)
Edit---
Jacob was J's favorite name for Baby Boys... until he started thinking about my former students. 60% of kids with the name Jacob in my classes were stinkers.
Just one under 5 (H's cousin). It would've been a name we would've strongly considered had his cousin (and BIL) not had the name already. Same goes with "Justin."
My favorite boy name is Eli. And hello, how perfect is Evan & Eli?
Married the love of my life 6/3/06
Became a family of three 8/25/09
I could not make up this MTV Teen Mom potential even if I wanted to.
I really don't know many Jacobs considering that name has been #1 on the baby list for at least the last 15 years??
There is one little Jacob in Noah's class...a couple Jake's in my SS Cody's class (8th grade)...and the older boys know a Jake or two (16 - 20 years old).
I agree that I like Jake much more then Jacob. Love Eli and Evan. What about Evan and Liam?
