Are you preparing all the food?

Are your guest bringing a dish?

Re: Holiday poll

  • I have no idea about any of this!  I think we will probaly end up doing a casual meal on Christmas Day.

  • Are you hosting dinner? If so, how many will be attending lunch/dinner? No, but my parents are hosting Christmas Eve and my ILs are hosting Christmas Day. 10 will be at the Eve and 7 at the Day.

Are you preparing all the food? Usually the host (my mom or MIL) prepares most of the food.

Are your guest bringing a dish? I will bring sweet potato casserole to Christmas Day and not sure what the menu for the Eve is yet.

What time do you normally have holiday meals? We usually go to the person's house around 3 and eat around 5 or 6.

  • Are you hosting dinner? If so, how many will be attending lunch/dinner? No

Are you preparing all the food? No

Are your guest bringing a dish? I will be bringing something to the meal most likely.

What time do you normally have holiday meals?  I believe we are eating later since it's on a Sunday.

  • Are you hosting dinner? If so, how many will be attending lunch/dinner? Nope, we'll go to the ILs for Christmas Eve. Christmas day is still up in the air, but it'll either be at the ILs or just home the three of us relaxing. We're probably going to have DH's dad (his parents are divorced) over for dinner the following week with his brother and gf.

Are you preparing all the food? I'll see what my MIL would like us to bring but will only end up making a side dish or something.

Are your guest bringing a dish? n/a

What time do you normally have holiday meals? Christmas Eve is usually around 6:00 and since I've never had Christmas with DH's family, I have no idea! I feel like Christmas day will be very laid back, picking at leftovers and relaxing.

  • Are you hosting dinner? If so, how many will be attending lunch/dinner?  Hosting my family on Christmas Eve, but during the afternoon so not really dinner.  I'm thinking more like appetizers.  I think that there will just be 5 of us.

Are you preparing all the food?  For Christmas Eve, yes.

Are your guest bringing a dish?  I'm sure that my mom will offer to bring something, I'll ask her to bring something sweet unless I decide to do a meal, in which case I'll ask her to bring a side.

What time do you normally have holiday meals?  It varies, usually either early or late on Christmas Eve to accomodate for church but if we have appetizers that afternoon I'll probably just snack on leftovers later that night.  On Christmas day, I guess around 6.

  • Are you hosting dinner? If so, how many will be attending lunch/dinner?  No, we're doing it at my brother's house.

Are you preparing all the food? My mom is making the main dish and the potatoes, I'm making the mushrooms and the brussel sprouts, and my brother is making the appetizers. Oh and I'm making the dessert as well.

Are your guest bringing a dish? See above

What time do you normally have holiday meals?   We eat around 2 or 3, just do one big meal.

  • Are you hosting dinner? No, we should be in the middle of renovating our new house then. If so, how many will be attending lunch/dinner? N/A

Are you preparing all the food? No, b/c of the 1st question I know I won't feel like cooking. I think I'll just do an easy breakfast for when my Dad comes over and then we'll get together with my mom's side of the family later.

Are your guest bringing a dish?  N/A

What time do you normally have holiday meals? Christmas is always a mess for us since my parents are divorced and then we have ILs to see. We usually do Christmas Eve with ILs, Christmas morning is for us and then we do breakfast with my Dad, then we get together with my Mom and then we get together with the rest of my mom's side of the family. Next Christmas when we have a house I will invite everyone over - I'm not going anywhere on Christmas Day.

  • Are you hosting dinner? yes- we are hosting on Christmas day

If so, how many will be attending dinner? not really sure- definitely my parents, possibly my brother, and possibly another family w/ boys ~ my kids' ages who don't have any local family

Are you preparing all the food?  Most likely I will make most if not all

Are your guest bringing a dish?  My mom will probably bring a dessert or possibly a side dish. If our friends come I will ask her to bring a salad or something that doesn't need to be cooked.
