Tuesday Confessions
i confess i'm probably too concerned about my dog's mental health. my friend wants me to come over and bring bojangles so he and her pug can play...but keno doesn't do so well with other dogs, so i'll probably leave him at home.
i'm convinced i'm gonna scar him for life and he'll think i love bo more.

I'm seriously considering getting a steam cleaner because my bathroom grout makes me insane and no amount of clorox will kill it. So seeing that ORECK ad on the right is like a sign. I want one of these though, just the small handheld device.

I confess I think there are a lot of attention whores on my facebook. Clear examples:
"delivery guys are always so fast to my house, i never have enough time to put a bra on and it always seems like i'm wearing a see through shirt when it happens fml!"
"once again, i got my lunch for free. the guys that work at x spot are always sooo nice"
and then there is always the girls who post a picture of themselves in their bikinis (looking great) and say "omg i soo need to get back in the gym. ugh"

Speaking of dogs...
I confess that I'm sick of being the bad guy for not allowing the IL's to bring their chihuahua when they visit for Christmas. DH thinks it would be fine, but I'm holding my ground against the guilt trips from the IL's. Even before we had the cats, I did not want them to bring their dogs (two then). I know they used to bring the dogs all the time before I moved in. I love dogs, but I just don't want to deal with it.
Now that we have the cats, I think it has "bad idea" written all over it. Oh sure, their dog has been around cats and doesn't care. That's all fine and dandy, but I'm more worried about how our animals would react to the dog. Quite honestly, I don't want to traumatize my pets and deal with any lingering issues after they leave. DH thinks they would be fine. I strongly disagree. The cats have never been around dogs and I know that anytime you bring another animal into a house with cats, it can cause emotional issues that I'd rather avoid. Oh, sure, they could be fine, but I'd rather not take the chance - especially since we'll be leaving them with a pet sitter next month. "Oh, thanks for watching my traumatized cats. Mittens won't come out from under the bed and Sally won't use the litter box. Have fun with that!"
So, I'm the mean DIL.
I enjoyed minty chocolate chip cookies with my lunch today. I should have taken more. #TeamNOMS.
