A little gummy bear update...
I had my second doctor's appointment yesterday. No ultrasound (boo!), but hearing that heartbeat again is such a relief!!! I was also scared to weigh in...I was down from my last appointment...so gained 1 lb so far! And that was fully dressed with a light jacket on...I will TAKE it!)
So, since we were all good, and we are 12 weeks Wednesday, I couldn't wait to go public anymore! I called a couple of good friends and a cousin that I didn't want to have to find out through Facebook, then went Facebook Official! Haha!
"Trying to decide what to make tonight, cause the bun in the oven won't be ready until the end of June..."
Thought it was kind of fun! : )

It was a really cute way of letting the world know, I'll admit!
Don't fret too much about dropping weight in your first trimester - when my SIL was pregnant she kept fluctuating with gaining 2-3 pounds and losing 2-3 pounds - the Doc told her that as long as she wasn't dropping more than 5 pounds she wasn't too concerned about it. You're still getting used to eating more for the baby and have the nuisance of morning sickness/vomiting that could be inducing a fluctuation in your weight right now...after the first trimester you should see an increase!!
Crazy factoid: Did you know that you only need about 200 more calories a day to fully support the nutritional intake of a baby? I might have misread that but if it's true...woah was I seriously considering overeating the day I found out I was prego!
