Anyone give a gift to the mailman?

Ours is awesome. I want to give him something but not sure what. Should I just give him some money (how much?), lotto tix? I was going to give him a little tin of cookies too.

Re: Anyone give a gift to the mailman?

  • I do not give to the mailman.  I couldn't even tell you what he looked like.

Lotto scratch offs are a good idea, along with the cookies.

  • We usually give our mailman $20 in a card.  My mailman is great!
  • stealing the scratch offs and cookies idea for my doorman and the crossing guard that i see every morning.  i love my crossing guard.

  • i dont give to the mail person because it is always different. I am giving a gift to my ups man though, poor guy has a delivery every single day for me, probably a bottle of wine or maybe some scratch offs

  • nah, but we give to the paperboy man.
  • I've never even seen our mailman, but I think about 20 bucks in scratch offs would be a nice gift.
    BabyFruit Ticker
  • Mailmen are not supposed to accept cash gifts.  You can give them non-cash but nothing with a value over $20

  • I give ours a $10 gift card to Dunkin' Donuts.

    Lilypie Second Birthday tickers
  • We constanlty get the mail for the same house number on the next street over, but I don't think thats the mailmans fault, I think its whoever does the sorting. Our mailman carries dog treats and has given Binny a treat more than once. I was thinking of giving him $10 to Wawa.
