If you have electric heat, come on in

mr. dumpling is thinking of changing entire system over to electric hydronic baseboard or propane fueled base board.  I wanted to know what those with electric heat think of it as well as yearly costs and sq ft of your home.  our place is only 1100 and we do have a pellet stove we use in winter but that mainly heats 1st floor of home.
sometimes all you really need in life is a pink wig.

Re: If you have electric heat, come on in

  • We have electric heat. Our house is about 1,000 sq ft.  IMO electric is a lot of money we spend probably 300 per month on electric and we burn about 5 cords of wood per year.  If you are changing over and have not reinsulated your house. Try to do that as I think we spend a lot because our insulation is gone.

  • we have natural gas and I don't think I would ever switch.  Our bill is the lowest is has ever been and it warms up the house so fast.
