Marrige counseling recommendations? :(
DH and I are having some problems, can you recommend a good marriage councelor? We live by Glenwood, IA so would prefer to find someone in Council Bluffs, but will go to Omaha.

We saw the therapists at Catholic Charities. Both were really good - we liked Pat better than the other (I think Kathy?), but they both helped us out!

Sorry to hear you're having problems, but good for you two for being proactive.
Do you see any other docs in CB (OB/GYN, pedi, general)? Maybe call and ask them for a referral?

all this x 100. Happy to hear you are seeking help - that is a big step for a lot of people - but sad to hear it's needed. Wouldn't hesitate to ask your PCP or any of the Dr's your family sees - this is a VERY common question. I literally have a several page list, broken down by specialty (marriage/family, eating disorders, grief, sex therapy, etc etc) and insurance provider... I'm sure your provider would have something similar.
My husband isn't a fan of counceling, So I'm really looking for names of someone whom they've had good luck with. I've looked on-line and have a list of places but I may only have one shot and don't want to go to someone who is "so so" and then DH won't want to try again.
