s/o- What is everyone doing for NYE?
lftilxi got me thinking- This new years I am pregnant, and I noticed not alot of people are liking hanging out with pregnant people when they party. 
What is everyone doing? I want to find some plans that will be fun for me and my H but also something that others will want to do with us!

We've spent NYE in DH's hometown for the last few years, the same couple have a party every year and it's a blast! After doing this for a few years, I'm good never spending NYE in Omaha again....cops are everywhere, bars charge crazy covers..I think it's all a little too hyped up around here.
Also, the party is a blender party..basically everyone brings their bottles of booze cluttering up their cabinets that only have like a 1/4 left in them, or maybe they bought them and don't like them. DH's friend mans the blender all night, and makes up different concoctions and names them..it's hilarious and fun!
Drinking.
Last year I was pg, I was the designated driver.
People don't want to party with a pregnant person? WTH?? Designated driver!
I am not a big NYE person, I don't get the hype, but my brother, SIL and neice are coming over and we'll do a kid-friendly party with sparkling juice and hats and the works (adult beverages for the adults of course). My favorite thing to do is hop in the hot tub and drink some champagne and go to bed early. Ha ha!

S and I will probably be doing nothing. DH has a game out of town in Kearney. In year's past I have gone to Coaches house to hang with his wife and kids but not sure that is happening.
Maybe I will crash my brother's house and play games with them.
I am desperately trying to talk my pg friend into coming with on NYE - duh! But I get it, it's more that you don't want to be around us annoying aholes
We're going to the Champions shindig (no we don't belong, we're crashing). We rarely go out and I am one of those people that has extremely high expectations of NYE, so we go all out.

We are lame-o.
We live at least a 30 mile drive from any of our friends. We don't really have a sitter besides my parents and my DH has to work the next morning at 7:00. We will probably stay home.
What? Who are you hanging out with? All our friends loved hanging out with me because I was the dd for dh and we stayed out super late all the time so I wasn't debbie downer pg lady. Ah I miss those days, now we have a babysitter curfew. Boo!
I have no clue what we are doing but my favs of the past have been when a bunch of us have gotten together and just played games, drank, etc all night long. Very casual and comfy. And at this kind of get together my dh has a better opportunity to keep me away from champagne. God I love that stuff but it does not love me.
I didn't think I was a Debbie Downer, I wouldn't mind driving people and I usually stay out just as late as everyone else- but I just noticed lately that people don't really call us to do stuff anymore.
Maybe I am being whiney about it now and its not really that bad. lol
