Has anyone done a Bahamas cruise?
I want to plan a trip for DH and I next spring for our 2 year anniv. I would like to do a cruise and the Bahamas seems like the cheapest way to go (I don't want to go to Mexico). But we would probably only do a 3 or 4 day cruise b/c we are limited on PTO each. Would a 3 or 4 day be worth it? 3 day you are only in the Bahamas for 1 day so figured either we could do that and spend an extra day in Florida or do the 4 day.
I would rather go some place that is just in driving distance but want to be on a beach and would like this trip to be somewhat all inclusive.
Re: Has anyone done a Bahamas cruise?
We did a 3 night one in February, out of Miami a couple years ago. The only stop we made was in the Bahamas. I wasn't a huge fan.
It rained the whole time and was cold. So we didn't get to lay by the pool or play on the sand. I felt like the only real thing to do in the Bahamas was the boat outings and they were expensive. The boat was on the small side and there wasn't a whole heck of a lot to do. I felt like we spent a lot of time gambling.
There are a lot of other mini vacations I would do before I went on another cruise. Halloween weekend DH and I went to San Diego and stayed in a beach house for 3 nights for the same price as the cruise was. We had such a wonderful time and I would do another trip like this in a heart beat.
