Munchkin Update

How are your little ones (children, nieces, nephews, etc.)?

Re: Munchkin Update

  • For a while there, Allison loved to call my mom on the phone and talk to her. Than both she and Mia refused to talk on the phone to my parents, which I think crushed my parents.  I called my mom the other day and both girls would not stop talking at all. It was so cute. Amelia told me me that she is asking Santa for a dog, and then she said a horse and a kangaroo.  (WHAT??? Where did this come from?)  Then apparently Allison had a secret conversation with Santa at Breton Village Mall that he was going to bring her an ornament with her name on it.  She was so adamant about it, that Brian went out and picked up two ornaments with the girls name on it.

Mia hasn?t been listening well at daycare and following some of the naughty kids. We aren?t sure how to handle this as we can tell she thinks it is funny and that is her  new ?role?.  So we are trending lightly on this. There were parent teacher conferences scheduled for this week at daycare, so we are going to talk to her teachers about this.  I want to address the issue, but I also don?t want to much focus put on it, as I think she is going to play up to it.

    Aw, that is sweet!

Hudson had his last day of daycare at Spectrum yesterday. His teacher and I had a little cry session.  I'm really going to miss her.  Tomorrow his his first "real" day at Tutor Time.  He did great last Friday, so I hope that continues.  I can't believe my little man is going to be a big brother in 5 days.

  • Caleb's *really* into Christmas music this year. His favorite song is "Rum pa PUM pum", commonly known to everyone over three feet tall as The Little Drummer Boy. If we're home and it comes on the radio, he'll run to get his Little Tikes drum and start rat-a-tat-tatting while it's on. He also loves to sing the words to songs he (thinks he) knows...

"Bells on bottles ring, making fields look bright..." <-- Jingle Bells

    :)

  • James is currently cutting 2 teeth.  So he can be quite miserable at times.  I feel so bad, I had no idea teething could be so painful!  At times he sleeps good, and then other times. . . yeah not so much. :)  We are going to drive to Chicago with him this weekend, which will be interesting.  He is not a big fan of his carseat.  So between that and teething, it may be a long drive.

I took him to see Santa last week.  He pretty much just gave Santa the "who the heck are you" face.

  • I LOVE the Santa pics.  Your girls are so cute in their dresses GVSU and the look J is giving Santa is priceless Mira!

Noah is a handful these days!  He is getting into everything and has decided to try to give me a heart attack about 10 times a day by climbing, crawling, reaching, etc. for anything and everything.  He is still not walking but loves to walk with someone.  If you let go of one of his hands he gets a little anxious still.  Someday I won't have to carry around 28 lbs. all the time! Stick out tongue  He is so fun..."talking" up a storm and dances to EVERYTHING that plays music...radio, phones ringing, toys, TV.  He bops his head and shakes his little hips all while fist pumping.  It is a riot.

Here is his pic.  Much like James, he wasn't too sure of the big guy:

Well....I have tried countless times to get the pic to post and it will not work.  Grrrr....just adding to the day I have already had.  Oh well....

  • Mira - that picture!! How adorable!! I love how they are looking at each other.

Henry has been getting really silly. We have the Yummy, Yucky book. One page spread reads, "Burgers are yummy. Boogers are yucky." We were at Smashburger and he would take a bite of his burger, then put his finger in his nose and laugh ridiculously hard. Ew, boys!

  • I put the pic in my siggy since it won't let me put it in the thread. Smile
