So Patti Stanger...is she still with the guy?

She got hooked up on her show (I think it was the finale). Not her ex fiance.

Are they still together? Or did that fizzle?

Re: So Patti Stanger...is she still with the guy?

  • No, but according to her they are still good friends.

  • I'm embarrassed to say that I watched her reunion show - they are not still dating.  I think they only went out one other time.
    This is my siggy.
  • That fizzled...they were both on the "reunion" and have according to them remained close friends...
  • No. She said on the follow up show that she's still single and on the prowl.

Don't be embarrassed! I love her show!!

  • IDK, but I'm guessing no.  Just a hunch because she's so super duper annoying.

  • I can't help but consider this ironic.  I mean, shes a matchmaker, but had a failed engagement and now after going through her own match-making process, it fizzled out as well.

Why would someone pay her to find them a match then?  Is this like the stylist that has sh!tty hair because they spend so much time doing other peoples hair?

I won't go to a stylist with bad hair!  Do any of her client get married?  I don't watch it enough.

I've often thought the same thing.  I suppose she has a good track record with her matches, but if she knows so much about men and relationships, why can't she land her own?

I've watched it plenty, but at the very end they usually just say.. they continued dating or haven't gone out since or whatever.  I've never seen reunions or anything to see if these people actually become long-term partners though.

I don't think she knows much about relationships.  Despite what her clients may say, most of them are not looking for their lifelong soulmate.  On the whole, they're sleazy rich men who see women as more objects they can buy with their money, and the women she sets them up with are bimbos who don't ever want to pay their own bill at an expensive restaurant.  None of them are actually looking for love- it's easy to find two shallow people and set them up on a few dates.

Yup, this.  The times I have watched I've never seen her set a rich, successful man up with someone who would be on the same level career-wise, success-wise, etc.  It always seems like she chooses dates for them that will boost their ego rather than actually challenge them and be a good, long-term partner.

  • I love her show!  She only went out with him another time according to the reunion show.

Has anyone else read her book? She admits she has struggled with self-esteem issues, so maybe that has something to do with why she has trouble maintaining a LTR.

Totally.  And she defines success as two people getting married.  I think all of us know that marriage doesn't always equal happily-ever-after.  I'd bet good money that the vast majority of her "successes" are not built on love.  If I wanted to be married to some doucheatron who threw money at me to compensate for his personality defect and below average looks, I'd still be with my XH.  Or I guess I could read her book and pick up a newer model.

    This is my siggy.

Duh, everyone knows a solid relationship is built on putting the boobs out and making the penis go UP (insert hand gesture).
