Let's try this again (delete thread below)

Going to a wedding next week and need some help with shoes and also an updo. I'm quite hair challenged but have been trying to find some tutorials online but all of them don't seem to work for thick, heavy, curly hair. So here's some pictures of what I'm wearing (or close enough to it):

I'm wearing pearl drop earrings and a strand pearl necklace for jewelry. What I'm struggling with is an updo, I really want soft, messy and curly but also secure.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to secure an updo in thick curly hair?

I'm also looking for a nice dressy pair of patent leather slingbacks that will be comfortable all day. Anyone have any favorites they wanna rec?

Also, trying to figure out what color shirt/tie T should wear. He's wearing a soft black suit but we can't decide on shirt/tie combo

  • I agree with the updo but I don't do shiit with my hair so I don't know how you would keep it up.  I'm also no help with shoes since I wear flats. Do you have a pair of heels you wear a lot that would be comfortable?
