Any Obgyn recs in Rockville/Olney areas?
I currently go to Capital Women's Care-the offices with band, tyau, resta and I have been less than thrilled with a couple of things, mostly with my last pregnancy and today was the icing on the cake. I had a miscarriage Thanksgiving weekend and have been having to get bloodwork done every week to make sure my HCG numbers are dropping. I had the blood draw yesterday and called this AM to ask for a call back with results and no call back. I just called back and apparently they are done for the day-my call went to the emergency line so I won't hear anything before tomorrow. I don't think I'm being unreasonable in wanting a return call before they leave for the day-not once has this call ever taken more than 30 seconds so it's not a lenghty call and I'm kind of pissed. Yesterday when I went in to pick up the paperwork to bring to the lab, the women answering calls at the front desk had a call back from someone else wanting her results-apparently she had left a VM and hadn't heard back, so I don't think it's just me.
Anyway, enough with my rant-any recommendations? Thanks!

Now I'm curious what victoria's friend's issue was.... are we talking major medical error? If so, that kinda freaks me out, since it's the practice I go to.
seriously. when I was pg, i know somehow they never notified me that I had GD after i failed the 3 hour until a few weeks later when I was in for my next visit and dr. sine asked what i was doing about my sugars. she was extremely angry that it had happened, and i never had any other problems with them. but hearing this makes me a bit nervous....
ETA: they have 2 locations don't they? are we talking about the office on georgia ave that is having problems? (i'm assuming the office staff is different for the two offices even though the docs are the same at both)

Not that you know my friend or anything, but I would feel weird posting the story. It is something I would consider a major medical error. I am happy to PM you the details if you want.
I totally understand why you wouldn't post the details! I will just be extra observant when I go. (And, next time I see you at a GTG, I'll get the details then!)

I go to Midwifery Care Associates, which is a midwifery provider who delivers at Shady Grove with offices in White Flint. They are co-located with an OB practice, Simmonds Martin & Helmbrecht.

I go to the CWC office with Drs. Apgar, Margolis, Wolfgram, etc. next to Shady Grove hospital and have always had a good experience (been going there for 5 years).
