Do you know anyone who could use holiday cheer?
I messaged on here a few days ago wondering if anyone knew of a website for sending soldiers holiday messages, but I didn't have any luck finding a source that would be easy to send with my 3rd grade students. So, I have another idea...
I found an eCard website and would still love my kiddos to create holiday messages to soldiers who are deployed and could use a little cheer. If you would like your loved one (any relation would be awesome!!!) to receive an eCard, would you mind sending me a PM or email with their email address to mrs.vsoon2b at gmail.com ?
Thanks so much!

Re: Do you know anyone who could use holiday cheer?
I could be pretty off base in saying this, but I think a lot of military personnel may be pretty hesitant to provide their email addresses (which I'm assuming you might need for an ecard) to someone they don't know and I also tend to think a lot of family members that post on this board regularly may not be willing to share that information for personal reasons. I don't mean that in a nasty way at all so I hope you don't take it that way.
Maybe you could also send home letters with your students prior to sending the ecards to see if the students' families know people in the military that may be interested in receiving some holiday cheer. Just trying to think of extra ways for you to get some addresses.
Good luck with your project with your students.
Soldier's Angels will either send your letters over seas (although it's a bit late to send Christmas cards and get them there in time) or give them to wounded service members at any number of veteran's hospitals.

No offense taken at all. I've been trying to get emails from friends of mine as well as relatives/friends of my students and former students from my school district who are now soldiers, but we were still just a few short. I wasn't expecting much response, but didn't know if anyone had any "junk" type of email addresses that they wouldn't mind receiving a message from.
I'd like to thank all of you for your great advice!
