I feel a bit better today

BF sent me the most amazing email this morning, and it put a few things in perspective for me. Of course, also, you ladies have been so amazing in helping me through this.

Basically I've come to the conclusion that I'm not dreading what will happen in my life next, I'm just mourning the life I have to leave behind here.

He seems so committed to making this work, and that in itself makes it easier.

I'm still sad as hell, but my perspective has shifted thanks to you amazing ladies and also my amazing BF.

I'll still cry a lot, but I'll live.

  • I'm glad you are feeling better. Take it one step at a time only looking forward a few weeks at a time. You will make it through and it's great that BF is coming for xmas too.

  • It's ok to mourn the end of something, let it out!

But don't get too ahead of yourself, it will just stress you out. For now focus on the short term and then hopefully some longer term options will reveal themselves.

It's seems your BF is really committed so don't stress about that. If living overseas for the past 7 years has taught me anything it's how quickly your life can change... a year from now you'll probably be in a completely different position... the world is your oyster!!

This. I totally agree. I am the master planner, but I know to mark everything down in pencil. Nothing is set in stone.

This might be end of one great adventure, but who knows what could happen next?!? Glad you're feeling better Smile

We're headed to the Maldives on Christmas Eve!

  • If a man is writing such lovely and thoughtful emails to you he is committed! I hope things work out for you Meg. Let things move as they are and see the changes first. I'm cheering for you.
