What is your favorite Christmas song? Traditional song - Silver Bells, but I also like John Lennon's Happy Christmas and the group of people singing Do They Know It's Christmastime.
Do you like all versions of it or only by certain people? I like all versions of Silver Bells, but not so much the newer Happy Christmas versions.
Did you send Christmas cards this year? I did - I usually don't, but I got those awesome cards and was so excited to send them out!
What is your favorite thing that you have for Christmas dinner? I always look forward to the desserts, those are part of the dinner right? There's lots of Christmas cookies to be had.
What present are you most excited to give this year and to who? I sent a care package to a friend who is in Egypt for the next two years that includes a lot of local NC foods/preserves that I think she'll really like. She got the package, but is waiting until Christmas to open it. I hope she will like it!
How much do you and your SO typically spend on each other for Christmas? We usually spend in the range of $100-$300 depending on the year. Sometimes we set limits, but generally we just buy what we want for each other no matter where it falls in the limit.
Currently Reading: Don Quixote by Miguel De Cervantes
imoan - sometimes I'd swear we are the same person. I almost put olives! I LOVE olives and celery stuffed with cream cheese. BF's family had never heard of that until they came to my parents for Thanksgiving. His mom loved it.
Also, I must know the "company name"
What is your favorite Christmas song? Silver Bells or Where Are You Christmas?
Do you like all versions of it or only by certain people? All
Did you send Christmas cards this year? This is the first year that I have not
What is your favorite thing that you have for Christmas dinner? The menu changes each year - Christmas Eve dinner is a much bigger deal in my family and I love the traditional Feast of the Seven Fishes - my fave would be lobster ravioli!
What present are you most excited to give this year and to who? A kindle to my mom!
How much do you and your SO typically spend on each other for Christmas? It varies each year - this year H told me he has the perfect gift and it's $250, so that's about what I'm shooting for
What is your favorite Christmas song? I like all the traditional ones. Maybe 12 Days of Christmas is my favorite
Do you like all versions of it or only by certain people? I don't listen to much in the way of Christmas recordings, but I do love the John Denver + Muppets version of the song.
Did you send Christmas cards this year? Haha, no way.
What is your favorite thing that you have for Christmas dinner? Chocolate mousse with crushed-candy-cane whipped cream
What present are you most excited to give this year and to who? Probably Baby Fuss's presents, just to see his reaction and if he'll like them.
How much do you and your SO typically spend on each other for Christmas? We probably average $50-$100. We're not big Christmas spenders.
fuss - I just want to give you a heads up that I would not be mad at you if you send me some of that chocolate mousse - it sounds AMAZING!
What is your favorite Christmas song? I really don't like traditional Christmas music. I can handle Happy Christmas though.
Do you like all versions of it or only by certain people? I don't think I've ever heard anything except the John Lennon version.
Did you send Christmas cards this year? Not yet. They should be here today or tomorrow, then I'll send them out.
What is your favorite thing that you have for Christmas dinner? I make homemade bread... nom nom nom
What present are you most excited to give this year and to who? Aside from DS' stuff for his first Christmas... I got H a book about the Red Ball Express, which was his grandfather's first assignment when he enlisted for WWII. I also re-typed his grandfather's official itenary (it's basically a log of arrival and departure dates for every city that he was in and what he was involved in while he was there - I found that his grandfather was a part of the Thunderbirds that liberated the Dachau concentration camp). We only had a fading, hard to read carbon.
How much do you and your SO typically spend on each other for Christmas? usually between $200-$300. That includes presents and random crap that we pick up for stocking stuffers (pens, chapstick, etc).

Do you like all versions of it or only by certain people? Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas ONLY as sung by Judy Garland in Meet Me In St. Louis. All other versions are grossly inferior. The Holly And The Ivy makes me gleeful pretty much any time it's played because nobody ever plays it (and that makes me feel like a Christmas hipster, boooo).
Did you send Christmas cards this year? I'm putting them in the mail this afternoon. Of course, it's a Joaquin picture card.
What is your favorite thing that you have for Christmas dinner? Depends. I really love pretty much any potato preparation, though.
What present are you most excited to give this year and to who? I'm so excited for Joaquin to open her stocking, not because of anything in it but because omg stockings are awesome and it's her first one and santaaaa!
How much do you and your SO typically spend on each other for Christmas? Varies wildly. We don't set a budget, though some years we've done stockings only.
What is your favorite Christmas song?
Hark the Herald Angels Sing
Do you like all versions of it or only by certain people?
Doesn't really matter to me who does it.
Did you send Christmas cards this year?
I used to, but no not this year.
What is your favorite thing that you have for Christmas dinner?
OMG deviled eggs. Its more of an appetizer type thing, but I love them. Since I am trying to lose weight I have to slow my roll with them. I wish they had zero calories but they are far from it!
What present are you most excited to give this year and to who?
I am excited to give my Grandmother the silk scarf I ordered her. I am sending her a little package with pictures of Abby, some letters I've written, the scarf and some nice gloves. It snows where she is and she hates the snow.
How much do you and your SO typically spend on each other for Christmas?
Christmas was always a big deal in my family, but H's family does not celebrate it. So he is not used to buying gifts and the like. We usually compromise on an experience, nice dinner or something like that to share as a gift to each other. We have enough stuff as it is. Normally we do something that we know the other would like. He got me a grooming package for Emmitt and catnip for the kitties because he knew that I would love it for them. I got him Ancient Aliens on DvD haha so he can nerd out as well as that history channel show about how things work etc. He also told me he got me a gift certificate to Target and some other stores so I can start building my closet back post-baby. All my other clothes didn't fit anyway and after baby everything is different. So, though I usually hate clothes shopping, I am looking forward to that.
