Third Person Thursday
Shelley is wondering where a sudden want of the McDonald's peppermint mocha came from last week. Shelley does not like the taste of coffee but could not resist trying one. She liked it enough to get another but still wasn't happy with how much it still tasted like coffee. Then Shelley decided to go to Starbucks for a salted caramel hot chocolate only to leave and become addicted to the gingerbread latte.
Shelley is going to have a real quiet day at work. She has some busy work to do and that's really it. Also the guy that sits at the old receptionist desk outside her office is on vacation today and tomorrow so she has no-one to chat with all day. Her boss called out today and sent an email that made Shelley giggle and remember another reason why she loves working in a small place. The email read "Feeling like crap, I won't be in!" She doesn't know of any larger places where using the word crap would not be an issue. She's also seen her boss use "WTF" in emails as well.
Shelley is debating doing her Christmas baking this year. Her DH thinks it will be too much for her. She has already decided she's not doing cake balls because she won't have the time but is still thinking about doing her peanut butter/Hershey Kiss cookies and the no-bake chocolate oatmeal drop cookies. She is definitely making beer bread and dips though.

Brie thinks Shelley should try the McDonald's peppermint hot chocolate. Brie is totally hooked and was willing to be late this morning into the office in order to get one.
Brie is also hoping for a quiet day at the office. Yesterday's meeting with the hospital Marketing Directors was great- but it was ALL DAY. Brie is a little worn out from that and really just wants to catch up on some things at her desk.

Stacey thinks today and tomorrow will go by so slowly since they're the last obstacle between her and her two week break. She is making a list of the last few remaining presents she needs to buy and will hopefully have that done Monday.
Stacey is so relieved to not be hiding anything anymore. Everyone knows she's pregnant and it's such a relief to not have a secret that big anymore.
Stacey is not looking forward to her cousin's wedding this weekend. She got a text from her dad last night that read, "congrats. happy for you and L." She's not going to put with any shiit from that side of the family.
Shaina's holiday party is today, so she gets to leave work at 11.
Shaina is off tomorrow, but her car will be in the shop, so Shaina will be house bound, boo.

At least Stacey won't have to answer any questions regarding why she hasn't told her father about her pregnancy since he already knows.
Shelley thinks Stacey has the right attitude here based on what Stacey has shared. And now with a LO on the way Stacey will be more likely to say something and not be guilted into things. Shelley hopes Stacey has fun at the wedding and with this new outlook.
Shaina waited too long after breakfast to take her medicine and now she's nauseous, but she did eat some crackers, so she's praying this makes her feel better.
Shaina is sorry how whiney that sounded, but OMG she hates hates hates nausea.
