QOTD Thursday

Sorry I've missed a few. Meetings and question block. :)

What are your plans for New Year's Eve?

Re: QOTD Thursday

  • Keg party!  WOOOO!!!  Oh wait....

We're going to a house party at Tim and Shannon's, and there will be a keg.  They've already said that Derek and I get their bed and they'll sleep on the floor.  Oh the perks of being KU.  I'm going to have to find myself some fun mocktails to drink, and I've been asked to bring red velvet cupcakes (or cake, or just something red velvet).

  • As of right now, we have no plans.  We'll probably just make it a night at home.

  • This year we are the ones that are hosting so I am looking forward to poping fireworks. We are also having a traditional Mexican dinner which will include tamales, ponche and vunuelos.

  • DH will be working new years eve day so he won't get off till 7. He will probably go by and pick up a few fireworks for him and Jordan to shoot when he gets home but other than that it will just be another day.

  • Dora, we're having tamales for Christmas Eve and I am so excited. Josh is already drooling!

Ditto Reba. No plans, we'll probably just chill at home like we always do.

  • Possibly a house party with some friends. We conned them into throwing it last year, but not sure we can pull it off again. They also throw the super bowl party. I'm hoping to at least do something. I hate just sitting home on a holiday.

I always look forward to New Year's for the tamales. They are so good!!

  • We'll be celebrating Christmas with Kyle's family New Year's weekend. We did the same thing last year and it was a lot of fun. Kyle's granny loves throwing parties (and drinking), so I'm sure it will be a blast again this year.
  • Dora- can I come eat Tamales with you? It sounds amazing.

As of this moment we have no plans. We never really do. New Years eve comes and we always end up doing something random.

  • Nothing.  We're usually in bed by 10 - maybe we'll get wild and indulge in midnight yoga.

We do have a tradition of hiking in the snow on New Year's Day with friends, so we'll be up early.

  • No plans yet.  I'm excited that we'll have some friends coming to stay with us for a few days over NYE, but not sure yet what we'll do.

  • We'll probably just stay home. Last year I made us a bunch of junk food like jalape?o poppers, chips and dips, crackers and cheese, etc. and we played Wii all night. It was a ton of fun just being goofy together, so we may do that again this year.

  • We just bought our expensive bottle of champagne! We usually hang at home and stuff ourselves with yummy appetizers.

  • We're actually hosting a New Year's Eve hoorah at our house and it will be the first time a lot of our friends have seen our place put together since we've had so much remodeling going on! I'm really excited to christen the place with our first party and show off our hard work at the same time. It'll be a pretty low-key thing since three (yes three!) of my friends that are coming are preggers and can't drink. We're doing a pot-luck style dinner and playing games then having a champagne and sparkling apple cider toast.

  • The last two years we stayed home, made a nice dinner and watched movies. We would like to do that again, but our close friends are having a party at their house and we'd like to go there too. What we'll probably do is go to their party for a few hours, then go home and have our dinner and stay up late watching movies. I'm not much for drinking anyway and that way we can do what we want and still be home by midnight.

  • MIL is taking the boys for the night, and DH and I will head to NH for an annual NYE party we go to. It's always a good time.

  • As of now we have no plans.  My parents and aunt and uncle will be in Vegas to see Stevie Wonder.  B and I are trying to find cheap tickets so we can join them, but I give that only about 3% chance of actually happening.  If we don't do that, we may just have a relaxing night at home, or try to meet up with friends for something fairly low key.

  • We will do what we did last year Josh works until 9 or 10 and brings home a bottle of sparkling white grape juice then we watch TV or a movie and cuddle together on the couch.
  • We usually have a party at a friends house and I think it will be the same this year.  I'm also looking forward to getting one of the beds due to my 'condition'.  Lol

  • I think we'll just be staying at home and hanging out...maybe even staying up to midnight...
