Put your good news in here!
I heard from the gyno and I'm STD free! Take that XH who told me to get tested just because he felt like being a jerk :P
Also, talked to my jeweler and the "scrap" gold that I gave her was worth $2100--woot woot!

Re: Good news thread!
AWESOME!
My good news is that for the first time in 6 years I will no longer be a homeowner!!
The X and I FINALLY sold our house after being divorced for over 4 years! We sign tomorrow.
WOOHOO!!!
They see us rollin'...they be hatin'.
I know this is a "good news" thread... BUT....
2011 has been a very very bad year fo me, so I am putting high hopes and praying 2012 will be a good year. I am thinking positive, which hasn't happened for awhile.
My good news is, I met with my lawyer and gave him the pictures of the things H claims he NEVER had and i was making up. Lawyer says I gave the judge enough doubt in stbxh that I will get to keep my house! yeah!!!
Yay, RP!!!! GL!
Okay, okay, I am a broken record....but my good news is by new job and the ridiculous pay raise I am getting with it! Already planning a kick-ass vacation this summer using the extra $.
Other good news is that BF comes home on Saturday. Woot woot!

This is a great post.. its forcing me dig DEEEEEP to find the positives right now..so thank you for that!!
*I finally got my xmas cards done, when I didn't even think I'd manage to do them at all.
*I am excited to go to a Ugly Christmas Sweater party with friends on Saturday night..I might even win!! lol
*I am joining a gym to meet new ppl and get out of my "norm"
*& hopefully will be getting my christmas bonus tomorrow so I can finish my shopping this wknd!
I slept last night! No random waking and I had not trouble falling alseep! YAYA!
so love this board... I couldn't think of any good news for me lately but after reading the posts I thought "me too!" -thanks for the perspective
My Good news:
I can now sleep through the night w/o sleep aids!! (no waking up to panic attacks!)
I am also getting a (small) Christmas bonus at work!!!
I'm viewing houses tomorrow so **fingers crossed** one will work for me so I can move out and on with my life in the beginning of 2012~!
I'm hoping "fingers-crossed" that I will book a couple of weddings before the end of the year... things are looking good!
I'm just very happy and peaceful right now... a huge difference from last year. Hang tight ladies who are struggling... it really will get better!
I've been selected to do testing for a job I want (dispatching fire/rescue/police)
and my bf is awesome, even if I am exhausted from being up until 2am..
I went on my first "official" date since I decided to separate. He was a guy that I met while out with friends (he's friends with my friends husband). He's in a similar situation as I am but with kids. He's super nice, funny and really good looking. The only problem is that he's shorter than me. I'm 5'9", he's 5'5" but I'm not holding that against him.
He fb messaged me this morning, he had a good time and he'd like to see me again!! I'm excited!!
My holiday help job (all I could find) may turn into something permanent. I am startng back to school in January and my boss asked for my school schedule yesterday. Fingers crossed!
I finished my Christmas shopping yesterday and am going to wrap everything (my favorite part) tonight after work.
Yay for good news! Yay for all of you!
My good news is that the guy I posted about earlier, Mr. Cop (I call him), texted me and wants to hang out again this weekend. Which is great but is not the real good news.
The good news is that I finally let go and stopped trying to control situations and people and how I felt. I just let things be. I let my feelings be. I hadn't even given him another thought because I was busy living versus thinking. And lo and behold he texted me.
I don't even care what happens with him. I just feel like this small, little experience just made things click for me. I don't need to be in control all the time and I should let other people act sometimes. This frees up so much of my time and energy! This thought goes far beyond dating!
While I am happy for you I REALLY caution you to make sure that you are healed from your marriage before getting into a relationship with someone new. You can't be happy with someone new until you are happy with yourself.

BF and I have been shacked up for about a month now (wow, time flies!) and everything is going so smoothly. We work together well, communicate very well, and have similar habits and schedules. There's a lot of love and partnership in that house. I've been really gun-shy about moving all the way in, but now that talk has started to turn towards the future, I'm going to be giving up my condo sometime after the new year. Neither one of us are in a rush - it's been a natural progression.
I'm grinning like an idiot right now.
I absolutely agree with you. I'm taking things slowely and still working with a therapist. I can tell you that I'm much happier since the move and honestly, I haven't thought much about H since he pulled away last Saturday. I'm just having a good time and there is nothing wrong with that. This guy is married but still living with his W as they have young kids and trying to work things out amicably with custody and support.
That's awesome MCC! I have taken on a new role as a team coach at my firm and I'm loving it already (in addition to my existing role as advisor).
I did OT this month so my paycheck today is extra nice!
EEEEEKKKKKK!
Double EEEKKKK! Seriously, tell him to call you when he is done with the wife and if you aren't busy you'll meet him for coffee.
You don't date someone who is living with their wife still. Based on what I can piece together, my ex told his then mistress/now live in girlfriend something similar. Guess what? He falied to tell me until I found out he had a mistress!!! Your situation screams red flags!!
So much good news:
* After I take my test today I am 1/2 way through with my MBA!
* The move to bf's house has begun and so far so good on all fronts!
* My new job rocks and after Monday I get two weeks off for winter break ... and it just happens that my son has the same two weeks off of school for winter break so for the first time since I went back to work from maternity leave when my son was 10 weeks old, I get so spend TWO FULL WEEKS with him! We are both so excited!!
Triple EEEKKK! CLW, I am really pulling for you. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE swear off ALL men (serious or "just having fun") for 6 months to SOLELY focus on YOU!!!! You can't work on yourself 100% if you are putting time/energy into dating.
I speak from experience. Seriously. Learn from my mistakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Note taken. I value the experiences that you ladies have gone though and I will soley focus on myself for awhile. I know that's what I need. I know his situation screams red flags so I'll take your advice and pull away. Revisit another time, perhaps!!
Thanks for your prospectives.
I had a great date on Tuesday night, with date #2 tomorrow night. I'm super excited...but also nervous to get my hopes up as I always seem to do.
this just made me smile...I can't wait for that to happen to me.
That is awesome!!! Congrats
I actually got the same news from my gyno! I've been one of those people that has never been checked for STDs (not smart I know) but thought now being single would be a good time to finally do it. So that is a huge relief!
Also, today is my Friday and I don't back to work until Tuesday...Woohoo!!!
