Definitely chapstick.
Lotion, towel, don't forget your phone charger either!
I also brought shampoo & conditioner, and my own pillow.
I think if you are giving it as a gift it is fine. We would not have used any of it except maybe the chapstick (but get a balm they are much better). Bergan had a great stash of snacks that we ate all night long. And I preferred to use their towels, after the c-section there was still a lot of blood and I didn't want that on my stuff. And Bergan provided wet wipes for the delicate areas.
Maybe something fun would be a few rag mags. If you have a long labor then it would give you something to flip through while you are waiting for things to get going. Since there was nothing on tv that night beside wipeout.
