My coworker and I have been trading baby stuff back and forth for 3 years - I lent her a ton of stuff when she had her first, and it just kept going. She just brought in an entire carload of stuff for us - a newborn rock & play sleeper, play mat, a full stash of newborn/small cloth diapers. What a lifesaver.
Re: my coworker is a saint
That is so great!! I love having people to share baby stuff back and forth with.
And the RnP was so helpful with Coop's reflux issues and kept him feeling so cozy and cradled.
I slid a folded cloth dipe down into the back for a bit of extra padding like School's out said, though my doc said it probably wasn't any different than having him lay flat in a bassinet, I figured it couldn't hurt.

Quick question for you ladies - did you guys have your little ones sleep in the R&P at night? And, if so - is it ok to have the noggin nest in there when they sleep? I wasn't sure, cause it looks a kind of pillowy in its pictures...
My LO was in the bassinet primarily, but we used the RnP for naps when we transitioned her out of napping in the swing and we didn't put anything in it to soften it under her head.
Even so, her head's pretty round (but then she has my genetically misshapened head and there was no getting around that.
)
Seriously. When she said she had "some baby stuff" to pass my way, I had no idea, she meant more than a trunkfull of baby stuff.
Totally!
Coop slept in his RnP exclusively for the 1st 3 months of his little life, then we started transitioning to the crib, which was not a prob for us. (one end of his crib is actually still slightly elevated, so maybe that and swaddling made the switch easy for him.)
I only used the extra padding in between the cover and the seat, but his head stayed pretty much facing forward the whole time, so I would think that a noggin nest would be ok to use. JMO.
