***I edited it down so none of the details are in there, just in case someone is reading here who shouldn't!*** I talked to my parents over the weekend and they agreed that she needs further help and they need help figuring out what to do.
The just enrolled her in an out-patient therapy treatment center starting Monday. They're still going to look at maybe an inpatient treatment center or something longer term, but we're hoping this will help stabilize her and help her start feeling better short term(while also being under supervision every day for the entire day). Apparently this place has great doctors and therapists, so they can work on her medication as well as therapy.I know this is going to be a long road and there's no one answer, but I feel like I now understand what's going on so much more, and best of all, she's going to be somewhere for at least 8 hours a day where they are going to focus on getting her well. It's a good start.
Thanks again for all of the advice! I couldn't have helped my family correctly without you guys

Re: Update on my sister
Wow, that's a big update! I'm so glad your parents were able to get her in somewhere so quickly.
The best thing that happened, though, was her admittance that she wants and needs help. The first and most important step. I'll be praying for her.
Glad to hear that she is going to get the help she needs. I am also glad that she opened up to you, and sounds like she is ready to seek help.
Best of luck to her and your family as you support her through this difficult time. Big hugs and keep us updated!
Intensive Outpatient or Partial Hospitalization is probably the best solution right now! (I should have mentioned earlier - sorry!) She will work in all the same groups etc. as she would while hospitalized, they can make any medication changes as needed, but she can sleep in her own bed at night
I'm glad that everything is working out, and as Big D said, I'm glad that she recognizes what was/is going on. Prayers for continued healing for the whole family!!
