Happy Friday!

Week in review? Weekend forecast?

Re: Happy Friday!

  • Week in review?  Busy.

    Weekend forecast? Busy.

Haha.  It's that time of year!  Slammed at work and my house is a disaster.  I'm hoping to repaint my china cabinet this weekend so I can finally put all the dishes back in it and clear off my dining room table.  I only want to do this so I will have the dining room table available for all of the Christmas cookies I need to bake.

  • Week in review? Busy... I had Monday off so that was awesome. I got to spend it with my favorite little lady. The rest of the week has just flown by though!

Weekend forecast? Hopefully not so busy! We need to see my parents (we are getting a guilt trip to do that) and that's about it!

  • It is so busy this time of year!

I'm so glad this week is over. DS was sick Mon-Wed, and I woke up sick yesterday. We always get sick when DH is away, but luckily we weren't both sick at the same time because I would have lost my mind.

We're going to a wedding tomorrow, but other than that, our weekend is pretty open. I'm going to wrap all of the Christmas presents because a lot of them will arrive today (thanks to two day shipping! woohoo!) And hopefully we're buying a house today, once DH lands this afternoon and signs the offer.

Fingers crossed for you guys, LadyE! How exciting!

I've been fighting a cold (again!) all week, so I stayed home yesterday and slept. I'm supposed to go out with some co-workers tonight after work, but we'll see what happens. Otherwise, no big plans. Maybe a movie and lunch/dinner tomorrow, and I'll probably wrap presents on Sunday. (Which means I get to watch Love, Actually, woohoo! It's my Christmas tradition.)

I have this same tradition and its also planned for Sunday Smile  This is of course, contingent on the assumption I'll complete my Christmas shopping tomorrow (its pretty much do or die now, Christmas is NEXT WEEKEND!!)

    Good luck, Lady E!

  • This was the first week since late October I didn't feel completely overwhelmed.

Weekend is catching up on stuff and finally putting up the tree. And I HAVE to mail out the rest of the Christmas presents! And cards...

  • Good luck with the house, LadyE!

Hmm, putting on Love Actually this weekend sounds like a great idea.  I might have to do that.  Thought it always makes me sad that Laura Linney's character never gets to get it on with that hot co-worker, heh.  Really, her character doesn't get to a happy place.

I need to finish up some shopping this weekend too.  Then it's all about gift wrapping and cleaning up all the mess of Christmas decorations that's just sitting around the common areas.  Sunday we have NStar coming to install a smart energy grid and volleyball in the evening.  Oh, and I have to finish up this damn blanket I'm knitting for my cousin.

This past week has kind of flown by.  Nothing specific, just generally busy.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

I know! How on earth did that happen? I swear, this year has flown by.

Neither does Emma Thompson's character.  The part where she goes in the bedroom, puts on Joni Mitchell, and loses her ish always makes me ugly cry.

Yeah, I was thinking of her too but didn't want to make the movie seem totally depressing, haha!  And I love her as an actress and somehow that makes me even more sad for her character.  I'm such a sap.

Oh, I know! That part always gets me.  Though, really, the whole movie gets me.* The scene where Andrew Lincoln shows up at Keira Knightly's door makes me sniffly.  And all the scenes of people at the airport hugging, with God Only Knows in the background? *Sob*

*Except for the Colin parts. They could have cut that storyline completely.

  • I have never seen Love Actually.

See First World Problems for our day/night yesterday.

I took DS to The Little Gym since I scored a groupon. That place is so ridiculous. I felt like the goal of the girls is to make some kind of commission off of us

We are still keeping a close eye on the dog, but we may slip out for a very quick dinner out early this evening. Then after DS goes to bed I am drinking a much needed glass of wine (provided the dog is still seizure-free by 8, that means she should be in the clear) and popping in a DVD.

No idea what we are doing tomorrow.

  • Week in review... Where the hell did the week go? I know I worked a lot, but I'm not sure what else happend... I had a great concert with my students. Very proud of the work they did. Thursday evening I came home, bought a beautiful bottle of champagne and decorated the living room tree. Friday evening SO and I hung out and relaxed. I decorated the hallway tree, we went to Brix for a fantastic holiday wine tasting and then to Gallows for dinner. (It's sad, we walk in and they know us by name... we might go there a bit to often Embarrassed)

Today was two concerts for the Back Bay Ringers. I was very proud of the ringers performance in Arlington and Danvers today.

Tomorrow we are in a recording session at WGBH for six hours and then I don't know where we are going out for dinner, but I know I'm not cooking tomorrow night.

  • I actually started reading this post on friday, and I am not just getting a chance to respond.

Lady E I am so excited for you!

Yesterday I made a cake in the morning while DH watched the baby.  I realized that DD will go down in the swing for a nap after falling asleep on DH no problem.  She NEVER does this for me.  As soon as she leaves my arms she wakes and gets upset.  I am going to work on this.

In the afternoon we went to visit with friends of ours, and got take out.  It was such a nice day.

Today my parents are coming over to do Christmas with us.
