Best hotel in Vegas?
I haven't been to Vegas in over 5 years, and we're going for a week in March with my parents and our 1-year-old.
Can you recommend your family-friendly hotel? Hoping to get either a suite or 2 connecting rooms for the 5 of us.

My initial thought was Bellagio but I'm not sure for families because it was just the 2 of us when we went. I also like Paris for location and price. I have not stayed at Trump in Vegas but frequent the other properties and am always receiving amazing discount opportunities for the Vegas property. It is my understanding it is not on the strip but might offer a great deal for suites.
for nice suites, I would suggest Venetian/Palazzo.
I am not sure what you mean by family friendly, but Vdara andTrump are non smoking/non gaming. I would also consider the 4Seasons and The Signature at MGM Grand.
I'd also recommend Mandalay Bay/THEhotel for a family. It feels a lot like a self-contained resort with the great pool and lots of restaurants. But if you stay there you should rent a car. It's way down at the end of the Strip and rather a pain to walk everywhere. If you'd like to stay more central the Aria or Vdara would probably be good options since they're in a good location but don't get a lot of non-guests wandering through, so they're not so crowded. I'd actually avoid the Bellagio for that reason. It's always a zoo in there. I also have reviews of all the hotels where we'ved stayed in Vegas in my blog if you'd like to take a look.

Ladies, thanks for the suggestions!
I did a bit of online research this evening and have narrowed down our list to Mandalay Bay/THEhotel, the Four Seasons and perhaps the Aria & Vdara. There are so many new hotels since I was last in the area. We are renting a car, since we'll have both the kiddo and my parents with us (plus, we're driving over after a week in LA).
Glad to know my top choices are the ones you're all suggesting, too!

We stayed at the Signature MGM with 2 kids in a 1 bdrm suite. It was huge and beautiful, like a luxury apartment - full kitchen, livingroom, 2 baths, even a balcony. The bedroom is huge with an enormous ensuite bathroom. The livingroom has a large & comfy pull-out bed and a 3-pc bath. The hotel is non-gaming, non-smoking, very classy and quieter. There's a nice private pool area, plus you also have pool privileges at the MGM Grand. I would definitely consider this a family friendly hotel and highly rec it, we all loved it.
Tip - we booked our suite through VRBO, way better rate than the hotel, plus no resort charges. There are 2 bdrms as well, if you need even more space.
The Four Seasons treats kids like royalty. We stayed there with my step daughter who was 8 and they would bring in a kid size roll out bed decked out for her and remove it the next day, even though we said it could stay or that she could sleep on the couch. They also did turn down service on her bed as well.
Every day we came home they had left some sort of treat for her on the table. The day we arrived it was some candies and they had written her name in chocolate syrup around the edge of the plate.
We just stayed at ARIA a few weeks ago and I think it would be good with your child. You can enter in from the strip side/city center so you aren't really walking through much of the casino. And the location is perfect. The sky suites are really spacious and would work well for you.

Yeah, Vegas is not family-friendly. Anywhere.
But when DH and I went in May, we stayed at the Trump and it was amazing. No smoking was huge for us, and we loved that it was quiet and easy to get to our room because you didn't have to walk through 12 miles of casino. It is also gorgeous and pretty inexpensive, as far as luxury hotels go.
We are going to Vegas in March (just me and DH), and we decided to stay at Vdara. We chose it because it was a non-smoking hotel and we thought it would be nice to stay somewhere with an escape from the smoke, but still convenient to some of the casinos. It is close to Aria, Bellagio, and Cosmopolitan, which we liked. We booked through someone on VRBO and saved over 35% off of the hotel's price.
If I had to take my daughter with me to Vegas, I think I would definitely want a suite.
How are the "regular" deluxe rooms? Bigger than a standard room?
We have a super-active 17-month old and we always try to get rooms with a little more space for him to run around.
