The Pinterest Rage
It appears as though Im far more than fashionably late to the Pinterest party. Fill me in. I dont get it. Do you sign up freely or need to be invited? I have an invitation from a friend somewhere deep in my email inbox from about a year ago and I totally dismissed it.
Also, is this website/network going to make me feel inadequate as compared to everyone elses craftiness, gourmet cooking skills, superb parenting and unique childrens activities or do you find it to be motivating? I have a huge pimple right on my forehead today and Im fully participating in office ugly sweater challenge so I cant really deal with lowering my self esteem at the moment.

I find it makes me more crafty. It's a great time suck especially at 3am when I have insomnia yet again. I have actually made a bunch of recipes and crafts from the site so I have found it helpful.
okay, Im adding "dig out my old pinterest invite" to my current weekend to do list of:
christmas cookies and beginning to wrap presents so I can once again walk freely around my office instead of bumping into shopping bags and amazon boxes all over the place.
i am on it, but dont really 'get' it. i just repin a lot of things. its like flipping thru a catalog for me. its a good time suck on a friday.
I got an invite from Shannon a few months back. It took me a while to check it out but when I did I became addicted.
I like it for craft and sewing ideas. And I like the clothing ideas as well. I haven't made any recipes from there but there is some seriously good looking food on there.
You need to be invited. It's that exclusive. Except that everyone under the sun can invite you.

I used it to upload all the photos of home decor inspiration that were taking up space on my harddrive and occassionally I'll add something else as I see it along the way. But, like etsy, I have a hard time navigating. I don't know where to look for what's good.
