Thanks for all the support and posive words, it really means a lot. I was able to get in this morning for an ultrasound. I didn't go into the ultrasound being very positive about the situation(especially since I ddin't want to get my hopes up, just to get let down).
We saw a gestational sac measuring perfect with the start of the yolk sac inside, right where they should be. Everything else looked how it should. She said that is exactly what we should see this far (5w5d) and should see a start of the baby and heartbeat in about a week.
She is now comfortable to schedule my first real OB appointment and that is next week Friday. She wanted to do a follow up ultrasound then, but there are no techs working (day before Christmas Eve). We scheduled an ultrasound for the following Wednesday, but she said that she will take a peak and see what we can see Friday.
So it it great news so far. I am having a hard time letting myself get fully excited, because I was so sure it wasn't going to be a positive outcome for the last 2 weeks. I am going to take it week by week and finally try to enjoy being pregnant again. I think once I see the heartbeat I will feel some relief, and just go from there.
