Update to my friend and her baby
First of all, thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers yesterday.
I went to the hospital last night and saw them both. Baby boy is 1lb 8oz. Following birth his APGAR score was 8, which shocked me, but I'm not sure how relevant that is. He's obviously on a ventilator, and I don't think they yet know his long term prognosis. To me, he seemed to be in really good shape. It didn't seem like medical staff was buzzing around him frantically or anything, which seemed like a good sign to me. His color is great. He's just very very tiny. My 3lb 15oz baby seemed like a giant compared to this little guy.
Mom is doing well. She is still on blood pressure meds and hasn't gotten to see baby yet, but overall she's much better post delivery than she was pre-delivery.
Please continue to keep baby boy in your thoughts & prayers. I know my friend appreciates it.

All things considered, this is a good update! I will continue to keep them in my T&P's.
You know they had a thing on Good Morning America this morning about a baby born at 25 weeks.. at three months old it was around 7lbs but doing great and going home with her parents.
