I just got a promotion and I'm in disbelief. I didn't see it coming. I work hard and I know I deserve it (hell my boss flat out told me I deserve this!) but I just can't believe it. It's a HUGE raise (nearly 50%) and it came just when we really needed it to. I'm still in shock. Joel and I have been struggling a bit, getting by but not really seeing a light at the end of the tunnel and now, here's the light. I just had to brag a bit because I'm so freaking excited that all my hard work is finally paying off!!!!!!

I just did my job to the best of my ability and always went above and beyond when possible. I've been in this position for two years and my boss is amazing and has had my best interest at heart since the beginning, the opporunity arrive and it was actually the COO that suggested it when my boss told her how amazing I did on my annual evaluation and how he felt that my current job was "below me." I can only assume that you're really great at your job as well, so just keep it up and your day will come too!
