Okay, how exactly do I pack this?
The ILs can't get the maple bacon I get here and complain about the lack of good smoked salmon and lox. I figured I could bring some with as a gift by buying a bunch of the bacon (about 6-7 packs), freezing it and then that plus gallon sized bags of ice would work just dandy to keep the salmon cool. Plus it's winter so shouldn't be THAT bad.
But how do I take it?
Options I see are:
1. Put into a soft-sided collapsible cooler and just get ice from a fast-food place after we get through security. (Uh, would packs of bacon and salmon with minimal liquid make it through if sealed?) Take as a carry-on.
2. Put in a small hardsided cooler and check it. Question is do I duct-tape it shut or leave it so it is easily opened?
3. Get a styrofoam cooler, duct-tape the crap out of it with a duct-tape handle and check it.
That's all I can think of now. Thoughts? WWYD?

Honestly, I would probably go with #2.
You never know which way TSA is going to go on any given day and it would be horrible if they confiscated the bacon/salmon.

Hmm, that's a tough one.
