We went to Chickasha to look at the Festival of Lights and SD LOVED it. We walked around the park, got some hot chocolate, took a pic with Santa, rode a camel, fed the nativity scene animals - over and over again she said "This is SO MUCH better than driving around and looking at lights. We need to do this EVERY year." That's our plan! On our way home we got pulled over
I thought DH was going to cry. We did NOT get a ticket which we were so thankful for!
Anyway, before we left our house I said "Okay, have you counted your presents under the tree? How many do you have?" When we walked in after our excursion to Chickasha she said "Wait a minute - where did these presents come from, there were only three when we left?" I said "OMG I think they are from SANTA!" Her eyes were so wide and she turned white as a sheet. She whispered "How did he do that, I just saw him!" Anyway, DH said "Okay, well, why don't we just open one present tonight and the rest tomorrow?" and she said "Okay. Or we could OPEN THEM ALL NOW DAD WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?" Soooo cute!
She has been playing with her scooter for hours and played with it for an hour last night in the FREEZING COLD but she didn't seem to mind. She seems really, really happy with her gifts. (By the way, she totally screamed when she opened the present with the dress I got her in it - it is from GAP and was featured in Vogue - God, I hope I have a little fashionista on my hands!!!!)
Anyway, after the Thanksgiving spitting fiasco (and her behavior last Christmas - yuck!) I was pretty nervous but everything has gone really well. She keeps mentioning our trip to Great Wolf and how excited she is so...yippee!
Re: Santa came last night! (this is way too long and way TMI but I am excited)
I'm so glad to hear everything went well!
We had a great early Christmas too, even if we didn't make it to see the lights (we were busy with other constant fun though!)
Great Wolf = awesome. You guys are gonna have a blast.
I'm so glad Christmas went well this year [and that you three have started your own traditions]!!
