About what age did you transition your child into a toddler bed?
Tyler is almost 2.5 and has showed no signs that he is ready like trying to climb out of his crib and is perfectly happy.
Re: Crib question
I apparently slept in my crib til I was almost 4!
If he's happy, I wouldn't be in a rush. I have a friend with an almost 3 year old who is still happy in her crib. We only put the toddler rail on ours after T threatened to fling herself out one night in a fit of fury. She also now gets up sometimes to go to the bathroom on the little potty we keep in her room, but she always calls us while she's sitting on it. (there is a gate on the door). We'll be transitioning to a regular bed around her birthday before baby 2 comes.
We kept Alex in his until just before his 3rd bday. He never climbed out or anything. My neighbor recommended keeping him in it until 3 bc it would be easier to talk to him about staying in bed and all that. It worked well.
Foster will be 3 in January and he is still in a crib. I dread taking him out bc bedtime is pretty easy right now. And as of now he says he doesn't want a big bed.
We just transitioned Charlotte into a twin bed (with a rail) in May, when we moved
She was about 3.5. She loved her crib and never tried to climb out, so we just let it be.
Really, we switched her b/c we moved and figured it was a good time (and once we told her, she was SUPER excited about her "big girl bed") to do so. We didn't want to put together her crib again just to have to switch it a couple of months down the line.
Also, she fully potty trained (including nights) this summer, so it worked out well b/c now she can get out by herself if she needs to go potty.
So Tasty, So Yummy
Connor could get out of his, but he kept sleeping in it until he was at least 3 1/2. Probably closer to 4. At that point, we bought him a mattress, and he slept on the mattress on the floor until we were sure he wasn't rolling off it... Then DH built him a bunk bed.
One of my favorite pics of him is that first night he was jumping o that mattress...lol

Same for us. Did it at C's 2nd birthday.
