I was at my allergist's office this week (sinus infection, yipee!) and she hesitantly asked if I had been coughing. I said no.
She looked so relieved and explained that there is a weird "bug" going around that is causing 2-3 months of coughing and feeling ill with folks in DC and docs are trying to strategize on what is causing it.
So - the shorter version =
Please wash your hands.
Re: The "DC Cough"
Stand up for something you believe in.
I've been coughing for months.. years, really. I think I really need to see an allergist, because my post-nasal drip is awful.
(that was not really related to the OP, was it?)
BFP #2: 11/16/11: M/C at 7 weeks
BFP #3: 03/24/12: C/P 03/28/12
BFP #4: 04/26/12: please be our baby
We all have it (me, DH, DD). I have noticed that it's getting "better" but none of us are 100%. I went to my PCP because I'm 25 weeks pregnant and I was concerned it was bacterial. They told me it was an allergen/irritant and to take zyrtec or claritin, which I can't take because I'm pregnant. So I've just been waiting for it to resolve itself. We've had it for a month so it's very reassuring we only have 2 more months to go!! Ugh. Jenn
I actually go to Allergy Care Centers - they have a robust list of docs, locations, etc. http://myallergycare.com/
I love how quickly I can get in and how responsive they are. They also have NIH funding with some of the docs so they are very up-to-date and able to educate and troubleshoot your care plan to adapt for maximum adherence and outcomes.
PAIF/SAIF welcome
