  • What were the goals you set for the remainder of the year? Stick to my Half Marathon training plan, control portion sizes, maybe lose 3-5 lbs.

    Did you stick to your plan last week? Nope. I only stuck to my plan for 2 days. And both days were horrible. One day was supposed to be a 3 mile run, which I stopped after 2 miles. And the other was supposed to be a 10 mile run that I stopped after 5 miles.

    Any AWs from last week? Nothing at all :(

    Struggles/Problems? My foot is really bothering me (as mentioned before.) It's one of the reasons that cut my runs short. I'm going to the doctor this afternoon and I'll be getting new running shoes right after Christmas. Hopefully I can figure out what's causing it. Also, next time I'm constipated, I just need to remember to run 4 - 5 miles. That seems to do the trick. Ugh, I hate having stomach issues while running (reason number 2 why my 10 mile run was cut short.) I hope it's not a regular occurance. Also, I'm really frustrated that 3 miles still feels like forever. I know I can run at least 9 miles. I feel like 3 miles should seem like a breeze, but nope, it doesn't. I feel like I haven't had a good run in weeks, and it's REALLY frustrating me and it's making running not very fun. I blame the cold weather, my stupid digestive system, and my foot.

    Plan for this week? M: Speedwork. T: Arms/Shoulders. W: 3 mile run. Th: Legs/Back. F: Crosstrain. Sa: Rest. Su: 10 mile run.

  • What were the goals you set for the remainder of the year? finish stage 4 of NROLFW (done!)

    Did you stick to your plan last week? yes. My plan was pretty light: lift once and swim once.

    Any AWs from last week?  I finished stage 4 of NROLFW! "Just" 3 more stages to go.

    Struggles/Problems? My upper left arm has been achy for months (Dr. Google suggests mild bicep tendonitis), and my left hip has been tight. I need to let those heal before I push ahead with heavier weights.

    Plan for this week? I'm visiting my parents, so it's going to be a rest week. I plan to walk a few miles at the walking path at the neighborhood park at least twice. I also need to limit snacking and portion sizes. Much of the food in their house isn't as healthy as what I keep around, so more temptations to avoid.

    Should we do a H&F Challenge for 2012? yes! Let's break the goals up into shorter periods, i.e. 1 month goal and 3 month goal to start, and have a discussion about our motivation.

  • What were the goals you set for the remainder of the year? Finish Stage 2 of NROLFW. I will probably have to do 2-3 workouts in 2012 to finish it.

    Did you stick to your plan last week? Not quite. I did do the first two workouts of Stage 2, but didn't get the third one or any running in.

    Any AWs from last week? The aforementioned size 6 jeans.

    Struggles/Problems? The same as always, finding the time to get to the gym and run.

    Plan for this week? Lifting tonight and Friday

    Should we do a H&F Challenge for 2012? Yep.

  • What were the goals you set for the remainder of the year? I ordered NROLFW, so my goal is to finish reading it from where I left off when I checked it out from the library a few months ago. I also want to practice some of the moves.Did you stick to your plan last week? I don't remember what my plan was from last week..Any AWs from last week? Uhh, I had a really awesome horseback ride on Thursday. ;) It was fun... best ride I've had in a LONG time.Struggles/Problems? Candy canes.Plan for this week? Riding a LOT. I have five rides planned between Tuesday and Friday, and possibly one more if I can fit it in!Should we do a H&F Challenge for 2012? Yes!
