If you had to pick JUST ONE...

What is the ONE thing that really really annoys you about your H?

For good measure pick just ONE thing that you really really love about him too.

Re: If you had to pick JUST ONE...

  • This poll is brought to you by our two hour trip at the grocery store last night for which we really only needed milk and Christmas cards.

Andy takes forever to shop for stuff. At the store he doesnt write a list he just walks up and down, looks at whats on sale, rifles through his coupons and buys it if he has a coupon and its on sale. Even if we dont need it. AND when he cuts coupons he cuts them for EVERYTHING so half the time we end up with something we will NEVER use just because it was only fifty cents! My mother always says it doesnt matter if its a penny or $100, if you're not going to use it any money spent is a waste. It totally drives me bonkers. BONKERS.  I'm still annoyed just thinking about it haha.

I love the way that he cares about me.  Since we started dating there has never been a day where I didn't know that he loves and adores me. The way that he shows how he cares about me is something that I think is invaluable and a great quality.

  • Annoys: He picks the worst times to be sarcastic and then someone, usually me gets upset. Last time it was my BF.

Love: He's not afraid to be silly.

  • Annoy: He can't just simply leave a voicemail or tell me something without it turning into a 10 minute story of repeating himself.... EVER!!  Whats worse is he gets it from his mother so I get the same thing when I talk to her.

Love: The notes he leaves for me when he goes to work.

  • Annoys: he calls me at work all the time and just sits there silently. I'm like either say what you have to say, or hang up so I can work!

Loves: he's hilarious and doesn't take himself too seriously.

  • annoys: he takes forever.  To do anything. Whether it's telling a story or running an errand or getting ready.  The man has no concept of time.  I can run errands in like 2 hours, whereas if he was with me it would be an all-day event.  He takes 30 minutes to tell a 2 minute story, and by the time he gets to the end even he doesn't remember why he was telling it!

Loves: two sides of the same coin - he's so laid back and rarely stresses about anything.  He's really helped me become more laid back about things.

  • Worst: His temper.  Last night we were talking about me going to the dentist and he all of a sudden got worked up about the fact that I didn't want to get my wisdom teeth out.  It was unreasonable.

    Love:  He's wonderfully supportive.

  • Annoys: He'll ask me to go on a cleaning spree on my day off because we're having guests over (which I totally don't mind) while he's traveling for work, but if I ask him to do the laundry on his day off, he's like, "I'll see if I can get to it." I asked him to vacuum last week - still hasn't been done. UGH.

Loves: He knows how to make me laugh even when I'm in a terrible mood. There's been days where I've been really upset about something and and he'll crank up Ace of Base (which he doesn't hide his love for at ALL) and create a dance routine to it...just to get me to smile. :)

  • Dude just cannot CLEAN something. He tidies. He neatens. He makes piles with the best of them. But a table needs glass cleaner or there are dust bunnies under his desk? Doesn't seem to notice or care.

I love that he always knows how to make things perfect. He knows how and when to drop a cheesy line or how to make me laugh or what to say to make things better. I also love how motivated he is and how he gets my weird sense of humor.

  • ANNOY: Jay is bad with time as well. Not only does it take him forever to do the simpliest things but he also waits until the last possible minute to take care of a task. The worst is when I've started a task that I've been waiting for him to do for 4-5 days, just so it'll be done, he comes in and says "I was just going to do that." No, you weren't and why didn't you do it in the past 4-5 days if you were! Ugh.

LOVE: He always knows just the right way to comfort me, whether it's making me laugh, listening to me complain and then just agreeing with me or just giving me a hug he always seems to know just what I need even when I don't. It amazes me how in tune with me he can be.

  • Beth,

Sounds like your H and my H are made from the same mold :)

  • Seriously one?!? okay

Mark exaggerates EVERYTHING.  yesterday charlotte hit her head on the floor (mind you she fell over sitting down- no cries or anything) and he freaks out saying she is going to be stupid if she hits her head like that. Really its going to be a long 18 years at this rate. It goes for cleaning, cooking, laundry etc. Today his rant is on the fact he doesnt have any time to read or workout. They have a gym at his work, and he has plenty of time at night but instead, he spends it making an elaborate dinner or making mountains out of mole hills.

He is a great cleaner- it might take him days, but he can clean WAY better than I can. Sometimes I wish he would do half, but then it would actually never get done.

It does! It drives me crazy. But I will say, if on a weekend day I tell him that we're not doing anything until we clean all the things, he really will stop what he's doing and clean top to bottom with me. He just won't do it on his own

    Seriously one?!? okay

    This. lol

He has a bad temper. When we are fighting and he's ranting and raving; I tell him to be quiet and stop yelling.  He responds with "I'm not yelling but if you'd like me to be loud I'll get loud"    Um really?!

Good stuff:  He is extremely giving and very thoughtful.  He cooks almost every night and cleans afterward.  He will suprise me with something if I'm having a bad day and he will always tell me I look beautiful.

    The good stuff:

  • Annoys: If he's playing the xbox or on the laptop and I tell him something, he will nod his head or say "yeah" but later, he'll say "you never told me that". Yes, I did, you just weren't listening.

Love: I definitely have more loves than annoyances, but one is, he is so supportive of me. Especially now that we've been TTC for a year and half with no luck, I can get really down about it sometimes and I just cry my eyes out. He knows just what to do to comfort me.

  • Annoys:  I think the best way to describe is that he has a high tolerance for mess. I have a low tolerance.  We all make messes, but he can leave his mess for days.  No big deal in his world.  Drives me crazy.  I'm the type that after I've eaten dinner, I want to clean up almost right away so then I can relax.  He could leave the dishes out all night and be fine with it.  Dishes in the sink?  Not a problem!  His office has been a wreck for weeks.  He knows it is a mess, but just hasn't gotten around to cleaning it. I just shut the door and try to walk past.  This all relates to how we were raised, and we try to meet in the middle....

Love:  I could quote Nooner here almost word for word.  His laid back style, although it drives me crazy in many ways, is a really nice balance for me.  He centers me at times, and says just the right thing when I'm freaking out about something.

  • Annoys Me: He always tells me his opinion of important topics, but never speaks up to anyone else about them. He has a lot of great ideas, but keeps everything to himself no matter how much I encourage him to speak up.

Thing I Love: His quirkiness. I know it's a weird thing to love, but being strange is a big part of who he is and why I love him so much. We mesh really well.

  • Annoy: The dork never listens when I tell him minute but important things. Example: we had Christmas Eve for my mom's side this past Saturday at 4:30pm. Thursday, Friday and Saturday he kept saying, "so dinner is at 6pm on Saturday, right?' My response, "No. It's 4:30." Him, "Okay." over and over and over and over. Or I tell him to remember to fill up Kong balls, or unload the dishwasher, or run the laundry. None of it is remembered.

However, ask him what I said 3 years, 6 months, 2 weeks, and 5 days ago that pissed him off and boy-howdy will he remember that!

Love: He is the most supportive and loving person that I know. No matter what happens he is always there for me. And he's very level-headed as well. Even when I'm freaking out about something, he's there to yank me back to reality.

  • Oh, where to begin....

My husband sometimes lives in a bubble where if something doesn't directly involve or affect him, he doesn't think about it or worry about it.  This might be all fine and good, but when it comes to things such as hosting family at our house or planning something in the future, he's just so non-chalant about it that it leaves me to handle details by myself.  This is proving to be more and more frustrating as times goes on, especially when events involving Samma are involved.

As to what I love about him, I guess this kinda goes hand in hand with what frustrates me.  He keeps me grounded when I tend to let details overwhelm me.  He keeps me centered... he compliments my crazy.
