i have chronic yeast

the gyno said that's why i keep getting yeast infections around my period. this explains a whole lot of funny business i have been experiencing down there. i will need to take a pill every month before my period to ward off the symptoms. then after a year he said i can try without to see if it's gone. i am glad that's figured out! also he said since it's been ten years since my LEEP with no more abnormal paps i can go back to once a year paps. yay!
Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.

Re: i have chronic yeast

  • Poopy to the yeast but yay to going back to yearly paps. I've had a LEEP too and am thankful I've been normal ever since.

  • Hope the pill fixes it right up for you!

I'm surprised that you are just now back to annual paps after 10 years. I went back to annual right after I got 4 normal in a row last time, so I guess I thought that was standard procedure. I really hope I can do that after this one too. I think my last that needs to be normal is the next one in early January.

I feel strange saying Congrats, but I really want to say congrats on your normal for 10 years!! I look forward to that day myself!

  • i switched doctors in the past couple of years so maybe i could have stopped sooner and never asked/didn't know, but it used to be that insurance didn't limit your paps. i'm sure because they do now, and doctor's really have to justify doing more than one a year, they probably stop the every six months thing earlier than before. that's my guess.

  • I went through a phase like that with the yeast. I switched to free clear detergent and started to wear 100% cotton. I also switched to Dove sensitive for my body wash/soap. It really helped.
