happy monday!

i had a very fun weekend playing seattle tourist, while also catching up on sleep. some of the more notable seattle-esque places i went to: redhook, stemichelle, theo, trophy, frost, troll, waterfront. it's been busy, but also really fun, and worth it. especially since he's "been here" before, we didn't need to do the space needle, pike place, etc etc etc. just more of a food tour. yay!

i have a relatively relaxed week, and leaving to california on friday. (um, i think i should start packing!).

have a great week everyone!

Re: happy monday!

  • hi!  I was sick, so a lot of the weekend was me resting, being lazy and trying to breath.  I did see some friends and my sister is back from DC so we got to hang out :)
  • Good Morning everyone!

We finished shopping for gifts, as well as did our grocery shopping on Saturday. It was insane at the mall, but Costco was the same as usual. Everything takes so long at this time of the year though, ugh... remind me why I should have done it 2 weekends ago and not waited for this past weekend. lol Smile

Now I just need to finish sewing a little girls Christmas dress by Friday at the latest. So I have my work cut out for me today!

  • Good morning!

We had a super busy weekend and I need another weekend to recover! Friday was H's work party, which was way more fun than anticipated. I spent most of the evening drooling over the hosts' GORGEOUS home - a completely rebuilt craftsman in Wallingford. I'm not usually prone to house crushes, but omg, it was amazing. I do know one of the wives so she and I chatted most of the night. Mainly about how cool the house was.

Saturday - cookie baking party with some church friends, then the symphony/dinner out/gingerbread houses at the Sheraton. I just love Seattle at Christmas. Sunday - 12K's of Christmas run, finishing up Christmas shopping for H's family and dinner with some of my cousins.

I'm crazy sore today, and really dragging. I need to get out of work on time to go get my car smogged, then have a bunch of other errands to run tonight. Blech. I just want to take a bubble bath and go to bed for about 15 hours.

    Have a good Monday ladies!

  • Not a ton for us this weekend. We did some errands on Saturday and I baked cookies for my grandpa.

Yesterday we were lazy bums and laid around the house. I did some laundry and baked some more cookies, but that was really the extent of it.

Four hellish days of work, then 5 days off!! 5PM on Thursday cannot come soon enough.

  • Happy Monday! :D

DH and I are in Michigan, visiting his family. It's been a really lovely trip so far; I'm glad we get to spend so much time with them. :)

I'm going to be pretty quiet until the new year... :)

  • Good mid-morning! I had a prety good weekend. Friday was H's company holiday party at the Bellevue Art Museum. The exhibit on George Nelson was pretty cool. I would have arrived 1.5 hours ahead of H (the plumber was late to our house) so I went ahead to the Bravern, got the little present I wanted and some cute veggie ornaments that were 30% off. Wandered in Anthropologie and bought a pair of fundies to solve my earlier posting dilemma. After the party, we went to Lot No. 3 for actual food and H is in love with their whisky/scotch/brandy selection and manhattans.

Saturday I had my little tiny cavity filled, then ran errands to FM, TJ, and my favorite bead store in Ravenna. H and I went to see Theatre Sports (temporarily located at Intiman) to see An Unexpected Christmas Carol (was really cute), then home where H went to bed and I stayed up too late working on stockings for gifts for my nephews (stockings for their new little kittens).

Sunday I went and hung out with my sister, met the cute little 5-6 month old kitties who are VERY lovey, and we went to Molbaks. Finished most of our tree decorating and put presents under it, and watched a DVD filled with old cartoons from the 30s and 40s.

I only have 2 presents left to make and everything else is bought!

  • Happy Noon! I'm at work today and I've advised a couple of students. I work until 2 and then I am off until Jan. 3rd. This weekend I did some baking, wrapped some presents and started to clean the house. I have friends coming tomorrow so I will need to get the house in shape.

Hope you are having a great day!

  • Good afternoon! The weekend was a lot of fun! Santarchy on Saturday was hilarious and a total blast. I went with a good friend of mine and we were out for about 9 hours. I ended up skipping out on my friends 30th. They weren't getting started until 11pm and I was way too tired by then.

The hubs and I had a long talk on Friday and he is going to apply for a new position at work. The hours will suck but there are a lot of benefits with it so no being selfish for me!

We spent a good chunk of yesterday with our friends baby and I fell in live with her. She is so sweet and adorable!! My cat fit jealous though and was needy the rest of the night.

My cousins got in last night and we stayed up way too late talking - paying for it today after my 230 am wake up call!

  • I am way late on this post but figured I'd write anyway.

I worked from 8-10 today, luckily it's the only 14 hour day I have to work this week. I am looking forward to Friday. One of my friends and I are going to the spa and getting our nails done. It's going to be fun and I'm looking forward to hanging out with her.

My co-worker is the best because he is working the opening shift tomorrow so I get to sleep in and only have to work 9 hours. Yay! I've been working on the mom's gift of scrapbooks and I'm getting closer to finishing and I think I will be done by Christmas.
