Hey! I have been researching stroller extensively lately and I remember you mentioned that you wanted to buy the City Mini Stroller.
I discovered that the Baby Jogger City Select stroller is really cool because it let's you use it as a single stroller and then when you have another child there is an option to make it into a double. It is probably one of the best double strollers on the market, from what I have read. I am thinking I might buy the stroller now for Macy (since her Chicco stroller is about to bite the dust) and add the car seat adaptor for baby #2. It's great there is the option for a single or double stroller, where most double strollers are exclusively double strollers and don't have the option for only one seat.
Anyway, I wish I had bought this stroller from the get go, and I probably could have saved myself some money in the long run. I just thought I would mention the cool features of this stroller to you incase you plan on having your children close in age ![]()

But I want to add, that by no means am I an expert on baby products, so no worries if you think my thoughts are ridiculous ![]()

Re: Mrs.MEW - Stroller related :)
Ditto everything Kathy said! I have the 2010 BJCS and I absolutely love it! I love the convenience that it can go from a single to a double. I usually take the girls out for a walk in it around the neighborhood. When I go grocery shopping with both DDs, I just put them in the stroller and put the groceries in the basket as it is very roomy. When we found out we were pg with #2, I decided to "splurge" on this one as the only stroller we got with Juliana was a Chicco Trevi that I bought from CL for $50. By getting the 2010 model, I still ended up paying less.
I don't think you're ridiculous at all! Thanks for thinking of me and passing on that tip! I heard that while I was doing my research, but we ultimately decided to just stick with the City Mini because 1) we liked the three-wheel design (seemed easier to maneuver in tight city spaces) and 2) it was sooooo light weight, which is important to me because I may very well end up lugging it up and down subway steps. The City Mini weighs just under 17 lbs which is FABULOUS. I think the City Select weighs 28 or something like that?
Plus, my mind just can't even fathom kid #2 already. I just can't think that far ahead yet, lol! Although my H really wants kids close in age, God willing, so maybe this wasn't the smartest decision ever, because I do like the idea of saving money in the long run. Oh well, I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. By the time #2 comes we'll likely be out of the city anyway and I won't have to be so concerned a Manhattan-friendly stroller!
And can I just say Kathy, that I am so excited that you are researching double strollers!!!
