Help me pick my sofa

I've finally decided on a sofa.  I just can't choose between these two slightly different configurations.  It will not back up again any walls and the chaise/shorter end will be next to a window at the end of the room(about two feet away, not right up next to it.) Here are the two I'm choosing between.

A.   Two pieces with one of them being the chaise lounge.

B.  Three pieces.  Instead of the chaise there is a corner piece and single chair. (the picture is the opposite configuration from how it would be set up in my place.)

Dimensions are pretty much the same. The 3 piece set is  deeper by one foot but either would fit just fine. The 3 piece costs a little bit more but not so much that price is a factor. I kind of like the chaise better because it is more open to the window that will be behind it which is good in our current small space but, thinking into the future, the 3 piece is more flexible as far as changing configurations if we are ever in a room where I need a different set up.

Which one?

Re: Help me pick my sofa

  • I personally love A.  But, I think that B is more condusive to having more than 2 people actually sitting on the couch if that makes sense...

I like B for this reason.  More seating for guests.

  • I like B, but it depends on your living room. I think I'm thinking of my living room when I picture them.  B just looks more versatile to me for some reason.

    This.

  • B. Our couch is actually a comb of all three - it's U shaped, with the two "couch" sides forming one leg of the U and the base, and the chaise the other leg. I love having the chaise, but the couch pieces are actually a bit more comfortable. And the couch sides are much, much more conducive to extra seating.

  • I have a couch just like A. I wish it were like B. It's awkward when we have multiple guests over because nobody can really sit at that part.
  • Why can't people sit on the chaise?
